Mirage Turtles Ending

I was just wondering what would some of you guys do if you had the power to actually come up with an ending to the Mirage comics ?

Heres mine , I know this may sound bad but since splinter is gone and the turtles really have nothing better to do I would kill all of them off , or just leave Don alive.
The turtles aren't welcomed in the human world and splinter never wanted for their existence to be known .If Don lives ( or maybe all 4 who knows ) , Don being a genius might be able to come up with a cure or some type of invention that might by introduced to the humans , which may allow them to accept the turtles as one of their own .

just a random thought . what you guys think ?

They look fairly accepted in vol 4. Sure enough, there's certain groups of humans against the aliens/mutants posing as aliens, but the majority seem to have welcomed them. In saying that, I haven't read issue 69 of Tales yet and going by the preview on the Mirage site, the Utroms leave earth. I don't know the reasons yet.

yea your right but its just an opinion of how I would ended it , I've always pictured the turtles never being accepted by humans , they were and accident that was never meant to be , they existed without being known and vanish and die the same way , unless they make a huge impact on human in some way , like Don finding a cure for cancer or something like that .

So how would you guys end it ? a bit of altering is possible :D

Honestly, I don't know if I'd give the turtles a definitive ENDING. I always loved the tid bits of info we got throughout the series...the small scenes of the future that really made you wonder. I could do with a few more clues as to where the turtles end up in the end...but the mystery is too fun to reveal fully!

I agree , but this series does deserve an epic ending , especially from eastman & laird , they made it so they should finish it , and seeing the situation now is the perfect time to start .
Just thought it would be fun to see what ideas dromers throw out there .

No, it does not deserve an epic ending. Volume 4 deserves to be finished, but that's it really.

Not that TMNT is so true to life, but I love the realism behind the idea that the guys lived these wild lives, but like so many great people who have lived great lives on this earth... they just get old and die.

After Image #24, 25 comes out, and Volume 4 is finished, I honestly wouldn't care if we never got another comic again.

They just need to finish the plots they started already.

So non of you guys want an ending ??? I love'em too but Laird has lost his interest in them and I wouldn't want tmnt stories to be a pulled out of him by force , tmnt deserve better .
They would have to finish vol.4 of course , then maybe consider an ending or even get fresh writers on board .

But once again , if you guys were to make up an ending ( if you want , you dont have to ) how would you guys end it ??

Whatever it is, the Mirage Turtles can't have a happy ending. Anything less than bittersweet would just be way out of tone with the series. These Turtles don't go out with a straight-forward, action-packed bang, that's for sure.

That'll be interesting :D , they have to go out with a bang for sure , wish it could be on the scale of the Civil War series by Marvel or something along those lines where its a free for all lol

I dont mean it as a direct comparison , I meant it as how it impacted the Marvel universe . Just an epic story with a good ending sort of say , thats what the turtles deserve.
I've read all except most of the Tales Vol.2

Hmm, well I personally think that there's some more story Laird had in mind after reading all of it.

But for an ending, well I can't truley go into full detail, but I would presume it being four very aged turtles looking back on their lives in a peacful world. Without anyone truely knowing the cause of the peace.

Each turtle one after the other says each part of the saying "We are the ninja turtles........we strike hard..........and fade away....into the night. Following that each turtle passes away at the same exact time peacefully and turn to dust and the wind it blows away. Never to be truely known by the world, but unknowingly shaped it for the better.

I don't want to see TMNT continue past whenever Laird officially retires.
