View Full Version : Shattered Glass Jar/Fish Bowl

I remember a slight difference from the comics/live-action movie about the turtles falling into the sewers and being discovered by Splinter.

The obvious: The 4 turtles are being carried in a fishbowl by a boy, he trips and drops the fishbowl into an open sewer, losing the turtles in the comic. In the movie, Splinter (as a rat) states he finds a shattered glass jar and the 4 turtles. His human form finds the turtles in the comics.

I know this doesn't sound debatable, but I'd just thought I'd share an open opinion and open observance about the difference between a glass jar and a fishbowl that housed the turtles before falling into the sewers.

Anyone wants to add something to this discussion, feel free. Nothing to argue and not really a big deal either :D

Not to much differences between fish -bowl and glass jar....
Fishbowl:

I use to think they probably were sold in a tipical turtle-box that you can see at Pet-stores: (without those palms-tree...) :P :)

It is better to take the little turtles to their definitive aquarium...

you should have written Toon or Archie/adventure comics

mixing mirage comics origins with the cartoon origin are almost.. insulting

Buddy, you didn't state the obvious. You fouled up.

In the comics splinter doesn't f*ckin have a human form. He's a rat. Always was & forever will be.

Unless it were the Archie comics he's been reading! :P

I'll admit, it was the Archie comics that i was talking about. I can even recall the panel of the Splinter human form discovering the turtles in the sewers.

People make mistakes and I admit I made one.

not mentioning the original origin while listing the rest.. I smell conspiracy!!

to add in the mirage comics Splinter sees the accident that makes the kid loose his glass container with turtles. (insert Daredevil origin with a lemon twist)
