I was talking with friends at work about the up coming movie The A-Team, when the discussion went to TMNT, and then comparing the two. Both had 4 heroes who each had their part, who were trying to help people in trouble while also hiding their official identity, and to boot, their female friend was even a reporter, just like April was in the OT. They even had a peculiar van all decked out for their adventures.
Out of curiosity, which A-Team character reminds you the most of each Turtle, and do other shows, movies, books, etc ever reminded you of the Turtles?

Well, Raph would be Baracus, Mike = Face, Leo = Hannibal, and Don = Murdock.
God, it's been SO long since I've even seen the A-Team. :)

I am not too excited about all the remakes, Nightmare, A Team, Hawaii 5 0 on TV, seems like they can't come up with anything original anymore..

Meh, a lot things have that same kind of formatting. One character will do this, one character acts like this. There's is an A-Team reference in one the early issues of ninja turtles though lol.
Leo I would compare to Hannibal only because of the leadership part. None of the A-Team members really remind of ninja turtles though, there personalities are like so distinctively different.

The fact they can't come up with anything original is not because they are incapable, it is due to what currently sells. They, (Hollywood) can come up with original ideas but why work so hard and take a chance when you can simply reboot, remake, or rehash something that has been done before. The reason why, is because all this remake crap sells.

Yeah, kind of like our Turtles. Wouldn't have stood for so long if they weren't constantly being remade and rehashed. And sometimes remakes work out great. Look at the latest Batman for example.

Pretty sure that was a hoax. But I think they are remaking it in Bollywood (indian remake, do not want even more).

That's so weird, I bought the new A-Team van the other day and I was thinking the exact same thing.

It was the combination of the van and their friend in the earlier episodes that helped them out, who just happened to be a reporter, that got us smirking at the similarities.
