Yessss, Nick/Viacom are really being good to the fans :)

Much love to 4kids aswell, I'm sure they pushed the topic while helping Nick in the "transition period".

Bought.

If it sells, maybe it'll encourage Viacom and Paramount Home Video to either rerelease the 4Kids series in season sets or finish up where Funimation left off.

They're going to have to release *something* to keep interest in the Turtles until the new movie and the CG series come out, anyway.

(Any mod, please change the title so "Turtles" is spelled correctly, I was too excited while typing).
Y'know, I'm thinking that typo really was a missed opportunity. How appropriate would it have been for you to have titled the thread "Turlets F******" etc, huh? ^_^

Now if only we can get Lionsgate to release Seasons 9 and 10, as well as the 3 skipped eps, "Once upon a time machine," and "Planet of the Turtleoids."

And yes, I feel the urge to keep bringing this up until we have confirmation its happening. Yay for Turtles Forever though.

Awesome! I'll definitely be buying this. I hope it is the full uncut version as Machias Banshee said. I also hope that it will encourage them to release the rest of the Funimation series on dvd season sets as well. I'd be thrilled if they even just took up where Funimation left off. If they do that then I'd even buy BTTS if they released it as a single set (even though I didn't like that one). But I'd want it all. Very encouraging news.

I'm still worried with the fact that's in fullscreen, and the running time is about 70 minutes, which is closer to the edited for TV version than the full "director's cut" version.

Shawn_1978

all I know is that if the Director's Cut isn't on the official release, then I won't be buying this DVD. Without the extra footage, you don't get the whole story.

I'm sure there will be complaints about it later on that might convince them to re-release the movie in it's full uncut version, like they did TMNT Season 7, when instead of the four separate DVDs, they finally released a full season set.

and from the sounds of it, it sounds like this movie won't have any extras either, which means none of the included deleted footage may be on this DVD either.

but, like everyone else, I will wait to see more information about this, closer to the release date. But if you want the Uncut version of the movie, the best time to email Nickelodeon about this, is now, before the release is official.

Well this is exciting news, although If you removed "Turtles Forever" from the cover and asked me what the release was, I'd say it was a 2003 series season set. So that kinda sucks, why wouldn't they just use that great movie poster style art that was made? Still at least we are getting it. I also hoped it would be on blu-ray

Details on the release are very disappointing.

So a fullscreen presentation, even though it was animated in widescreen? The TV cut of the film rather than the full length version streamed on the 4Kids website? No bonus features?

The entire thing looks like a totally rushed hack job. The cover art is just cut and pasted stock art with no sign of the Fred Wolf Turtles or anything that even reflects the content of the film.

The blurb on the back shows an utter lack of interest or knowledge of the material, listing Casey as one of the "classic characters" the Turtles encounter.

Very disappointing news and a grim portent of things to come under Nick's rule.

Not good. Happy to have the film on DVD, but not in such a shoddy, rushed, half-assed manner.

I will VERY annoyed if it is the annotated version instead of the "director's cut" I prolly wont buy it if it is a shortened up version.

As for the "full screen vs widescreen" Do we even know if a widescreen version EXISTS? I don't remeber the showing at SanD Con being widescreen... o_O

and shawn: Blue-Ray DVDs are usually higher quality picture and sound, but you can't play them on a regular DVD player, only on a blu-ray player.

I'm wondering where David Lambert got the information about the 70 minute running time and where he got the cover artwork. To me, the cover artwork looks kinda like something someone whipped up in photoshop for a placeholder or something... Why wouldn't they use the cool poster that's already made up for it? By the way, can somebody explain the me what the difference is between Standard DVDs and Blue-ray DVDs?
For starters, Blu-Rays aren't DVDs. While they are based on the same principles, DVDs are only the optical discs written with red laser. Blue is the color on the opposite end of the spectrum, so it produces a finer laser. So, the same size disc can hold ~5x the information of a DVD. What they do with all this extra capacity is enhance the picture resolution and leave the audio uncompressed for higher quality output. Granted, some people can't detect this difference either because they're looking too hard to find it or because their senses just aren't sharp enough to detect it. So, to them, it looks like this new optical disc format is an unnecessary fad. It's not unlike the issue of stereo vs. mono LPs from ages ago. Albums were always mixed in stereo (2 audio channels) first and monaural (1 audio channel) later. Why? Most people couldn't afford but one speaker, so the more expensive technology of stereo was less popular. But, today, mixing an album in mono is pointless. Oh, and to ween the public from DVD to Blu-Ray, studios have been known to include extra bonus features on the Blu-Ray that aren't available on the DVD version.

It sure was. It just wasn't that super-narrow kind. If you don't recall, the edited, feature-length presentation 4Kids showed on TheCW and the Director's Cut they have streaming on their site are both widescreen. Only the 'chopped into three eps' versions were actually full-frame.

I highly suggest that you all email Paramount Home Entertainment and voice your discontentment regarding the improper aspect ratio and running time.

You can email Paramount Home Entertainment at [email protected]

Here's my email as an example:

Dear Paramount Home Entertainment and Nickelodeon,

My name is John Pannozzi. I am a big fan of many Paramount and Nickelodeon properties, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It has come to my attention that you are planning a DVD release of the recent telefilm "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Forever" (also known as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever" or simply "Turtles Forever") on August 24th. While I am happy to see this production getting a home video release, there are a few aspects about this release that greatly disappoint me and I hope can be remedied before the DVD is ready for release. According to the official sellsheet information described at TV Shows on DVD.com, the DVD will apparently be in fullscreen and have an approximate running time of 70 minutes. First of all, "Turtles Forever" was originally produced and shown on TV in a widescreen aspect ratio, and it should retain that ratio (preferably in anamorphic form) on DVD. Secondly, 70 minutes is about how long the edited version of the film shown on TV was. The full "director's cut" version of the film (which had previously been available online at 4Kids' website) is said to run about 78 or 90 minutes (sources differ), and the DVD release should ideally contain the longest version of the film. Finally, I would like this film to also be available on Blu-ray Disc, since the film was produced in high definition. While I know the Blu-ray Disc market is not quite as popular as DVD, I believe that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand name could sell well on Blu-ray Disc (considering that last year, Warner Home Video and New Line Cinema released a Blu-ray Disc collection of the first four theatrical Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films, and it seemed to sell well.) Please try to take my requests into consideration. Thank you for considering my suggestions. Please respond when you can.

I'd bet alot of that stuff is subject to change, this is our first news tidbit about it so I'm definitely expecting better box art.

As for the Casey thing, as far as TMNT lore is concerned he is a "classic character" and the Fred Wolf crew does "encounter" him.

And they have to make this the directors cut... maybe the DVD has both versions and the longer cut is considered a bonus feature so they don't count it as the total run time.

It's the director's original vision. Therefore, it's appropriate to call it a 'Director's Cut'. 4kidstv.com lists it as such. My DVD collection even includes two movies that have longer cuts that were released abroad first; Ridley Scott's Legend and Sam Raimi's Army Of Darkness. Now that they've been released in the US, they've been officially labeled Director's Cuts. So, it's not unprecedented. Trying to follow your chain of thought, what do you think that a director's cut is?

Your two examples are not at all the same as this. "Director's Cut" implies an actual different cut of a movie than originally released. "Turtles Forever" was edited for time to air on TV from it's originally released version, which was screened at Comic-Con and would have been screened at movie theaters had that deal worked out. Every single movie in the world that has aired on commercial TV has been cut similarly and the complete version is not considered a "Director's Cut." Giving the movie this label just ads an unnecessary complication to the matter, despite what it may be called on the 4Kids website.

Ninja Tiptup

However 4kids has two versions. The original and the TV cut. Its entirely possible however lame it is that Nickelodeon is using the TV cut because they don't know any better. I really hope that is not the case. I can live with full screen but if we don't get the entire movie I'm gonna be pissed.

I thought some of the old Funimation DVD covers were lame (excluding the most recent ones), but this one takes the cake. People who never heard of Turtles Forever would never know what this is about. They would have to read the back to find out. Most potential customers would just pass this up if they saw it on the shelf. And all the lens flares...ugh. Why in the world would Don's bo have one? And why would an image have 5 lens flares? I don't think I could look at this on my dvd shelf without vomiting.

In the case that this is only the 70 minute edited version, I get the feeling the uncut and widescreen version will be a Blu-ray release.

Makes sense to me. Release a "kiddie" DVD version, but release the big uncut and widescreen one on Blu-ray for more money.

Your two examples are not at all the same as this.
Well, how not? They were the originally released versions that the US just didn't get to start with. It's not like we're talking film festival or other 'private party'. I completely agree though that it's pretentious to call the extended cut a 'director's cut', but it's still kinda petty an argument when the company who created it gave it that title. I'm just saying there's no sense getting all bent about it.
And all the lens flares...ugh. Why in the world would Don's bo have one?
Umm... Turtle Wax? :D

Exactly what I'm thinking. This is probably just bait to see who even cares. If the ideal situation of this being replaced with the 'Uncut Cut' at the last minute doesn't happen, I'll just rent this one to examine its quality (or potential lack thereof).

I don't think the boxart they are showing is final. X-Men Volume 2 had a drastically different (horrible) cover for it and then they revealed more details on it, the new designed cover was far better. They probably are using that cover for promotional purposes until they get the final boxart ready to go. So I am not worried about that.

What I am worried about is what several others are saying....fearing that this will be the syndicated/edited version of the film instead of the full release. I sent my email to Parmount pleading with them to see logic and to realize that the days of companies releasing half assed products to unaware fans and getting full profit potential from them are over. I strongly encourage others to do the same so that we can try to stop this train before it derails and ticks everyone off. I want to see this sell well enough so that they will pick up where Funimation left off and release the rest of the series (in correct order) on DVD.

And I don't think they're dumb enough to slap the television version of the movie on a DVD and throw it at us, that would be stupidity on a ridiculous level. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but if that's what does happen I'll be truly shocked.

Boxart isn't terrible apart from it being too 4Kids centric when the very nature of the film is pretty much... not that. I'd have the 4Kids TMNT lined up with the Fred Wolf TMNT in the foreground, and in the background have the silhouettes of the Mirage TMNT there.

The logo ought to either be the original "Turtles Forever" logo with the neutral font, or it should be a hodgepodge of the Fred Wolf and 4Kids TMNT logo... maybe like a cracked line through the center and it looks Fred Wolfy on one side and 4Kidsy on the other.

Upset about this news. The art (horrible, not even the design look from Forever) and no "long cut", no widescreen makes its even moreso upsetting. Is it hard to even put both cuts and the trailer on it? Wish for a commentary with Loydd Goldfine and Peter Laird. Peter said he'd do one awhile ago but even now I don't see him doing it with his "post turtles" life. But the widescreen was it fake widescreen? Like the way Transformers Movie 1986 and Batman Mask of the Phantasm had? Was the widescreen actually covering up the produced full screen animation? Like the first season of Justice League had matted black bars and aired in both looks? Just wondering about this, for Paramount to say full screen? I can't see the big deal about a horrible marketing plan to make us double dip for a BR DVD one day. Most BR players have the upgrade 1080p for standard dvds. Isn't that good enough? Why does one have to buy a BR DVD when the BR players can uprade a standard dvds look? How much more can your eyes and ears see/hear?
The other thing we may be overlooking is that maybe Paramount/Nicko owns the TMNT, but maybe they don't have the rights to use the OT/Fred Wolf TMNT images on dvd art? Just a theory. I'm assuming the "rights" of OT/F Wolf toon still applies to Paramount/Nicko? I could be wrong too. Since Turtles Forever was made maybe I am wrong about this.
I'm only gonna buy this as a cheap/used buy at a video store or maybe when it goes in the cheap bins at retail stores. Most TMNT 2K3 stuff has been in the cheap bins these days.
We should all email Paramounts video dept with the Turtles Forever poster/dvd art to them. Also ask for the longer cut and widescreen look. I think if we all do this maybe we can make them change the release. Also we should all write to tvshowsondvd.com as well. They tend to do these sorts of things too when inquired. They can help us by getting the inquiries thru. Enough of us do this and they can tell paramount what we expect. It doesn't hurt to try.

Where is all of this "no long cut" dribble erupting from? The article says the running time of the film is approximately 70 minutes long. Turtles Forever, uncut, runs 78 minutes. Is 78 not approximately 70?

Furthermore, it seems that there is the impression that a cut film would be the TV edit version. However, if you remember, 4Kids was touting the "Director's Cut" on their site as having an additional 12 minutes. How could a film that cut 12 minutes for TV be the same thing as one that would potentially cut 8 minutes?

I've been tossing this logic to-and-fro, because, honestly, it doesn't make any sense to assume otherwise. I may be proved wrong, but the evidence is strongly suggesting that this isn't the TV edit.

CyberCubed

78 minutes would be approximately 80 minutes, not 70.

The boxart rant was a minor nit pick. I don't care one way or another what it looks like or else I wouldn't have bought season 5 and/or the rest of them. It's just something I like to pick on. What bothers me is that the title of the film is Turtles Forever and I think it's completely stupid they can't even get that right. There is no addition of the Teenage Mutant Ninja.

I also agree with the above post that it's a fullscreen format (not wide like the rips I have of the episodes) and it's runtime is approximately 70 minutes. If it were 78 minutes - the runtime would be approx. 80 minutes. Or they would even go as far as saying approx stating the exact running time. It's seen with movies all the time.

I don't really care about no extra features right now. There's still reason to hope for it eventually. I've bought DVDs with worse features. Hopefully they can include that amazing teaser they aired a few weeks before.

I'm just asking that they don't dick us over, which it's obvious they're starting to. Not a good way to start things for me, Nick. Not good at all.

Actually not really. All they have to do is put it into a fullscreen timeline for their encoding. Depending on the program they don't even need to do a special export. It already has bars though so I see no point in it as they'll basically be zooming in on it and lowering the overall quality.

I agree I also really wish 4Kids scrapped that cut.

I used the exact dimensions for a DVD slip cover, 3240x2175. I think it looks funky when you look at it in a web browser because it is a .png image. Download it and preview it in an image viewer. You can zoom in on everything and the images and text hold up without getting blurry.

That's also the exact file I used to print mine and it's not pixelated at all, I can take some photos of my box if you'd like to see.

Ugly box art doesn't deter me from buying something. A casual consumer walking down an isle in a store it might. It won't really grab anybody into an impulse buy. I thought this was good news but....:

1. The film was full screen not widescreen. I bought dvd version of TMNT cgi movie and it was full screen. The side video pics (left and right) were cut off some portions. Like in the scene where Mikey hugged Leo, he completely vanished from the tv screen unlike Blu Ray. So this is a major turn off and total crap if TMNT Forever going to be released in full screen. :x I want full enjoyment of the cinematic scale. It was meant to be released in theaters too, so being given a less quality movie than it's full glory is such an insult.

2. It's going to be released 70 minutes, meaning there's going to be scenes being cut out. :x

3. No additional bonuses. It is a less major complain than the first and second point but, come on. This is the TMNT 25th anniversary celebration movie, don't we get anything? A thank you message from Peter at least?

4. The cover art is crap. That is the same y2k art, copy pasted. Just use the already available movie art, is that so hard?

edit:

You know what, if they're going to release a better quality product then I will buy it in a heartbeat. I will. But for the time being, I don't deserve this crap.

Er, yeah, I would say so.

Anyway, Peter SOLD the Global Intellectual Rights (ALL of 'em!) TO Viacom/Nick for about 60 million bucks back in November of last year (or thereabouts), with 4kids getting about 10 mil. for THEIR part of the franchise. Peter owns NOTHING whatsoever to do with the TMNT now, EXCEPT that he got a deal in the sale that he can publish about 18 TMNT comics a year, if he wants to.

But on ANOTHER note, I just checked SEARS website, and THIS is the art that THEY'RE using FOR the promotion of the DVD:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v81/Whitewolf89/My%20TMNT%20DVD-Covers%20Album/TMNT_Forever.jpg

So I'M beginning to wonder about the box-art myself, now. (Although they COULD just be using the one from the TVSHowson DVD.com's website. Dunno.)

Although I DID checked Amazon.com's websire, as well as Best Buy's AND WalMart's. NO images of the box-art at ANY of them. YET, anyway.

Now that I've RE-thought this, though, I'm NOT got to worry about it. It's just June 12th, and this thing is SUPPOSED to be released on August 24th. That's a BIT over TWO MONTHS away. A lot can change in THAT amount of time, as we ALL well know. So I'M just going to chill and keep an EYE on things. THAT's probably THE best thing to do, anyway.:twink:

^I can only imagine things will go downhill after this.

Viacom/Nick first step with the release of TMNT Forever dvd was done carelessly as stated by many others and I feel like they do not have a hint of care for the fanbase.
Imagine future dealings that they're going to make, what we're going to get, etc. Such sad, scary thought.

Biggest problem with the cover art is that there's no hint of the crossover with the Fred Wolf cartoon, which is the biggest seller for some casual person browsing the shelves.

I'm not deluding myself into thinking that would bring in a lot of sales anyway, but it might intrigue a few passing nostalgics. Looking at that, I have no idea what the f*ck it is.

Assuming it stays this way the biggest deal breaker is the fact it's 70 minutes and not the full thing. I have the directors cut already so buying a cut down version makes no sense. The bad artwork and it being fullscreen are just icing on the **** cake. Cipher is right the cover does not represent the movie, and I do hope it's just a place holder. Logically it'd have made more sense to use the poster as the place holder. It would have taken even less effort and people would have liked it, imagine that.

The FS thing bugs me but every turtles release, and most cartoons in general, have been FS. Unless it looks completely retarded FS I can live with it.

Let's say you buy a burger. Won't you be pissed off that you're paying full piece yet you receive a burger with half meat gone or one of the bun missing? Yet you still going to be content that you're not getting the full product?:trolleye:

I know, especially considering that's a BIG draw of this film. It's a great movie even if you never liked or grew up on those ones, but still, that was what got a lot of people back into it, the whole 'Oh look, I remember THOSE guys!' thing.

Avatar is a academy award winning film that grossed 2 billion worldwide and is getting re-released in IMAX with an extended cut. The release serves to hold people over till then or for people who don't care about the extra scenes.

Turtles Forever is a made for TV movie that was aired once in it's entirety. It belongs to a dead series and is being released on the good graces of a company that doesn't really have to. It's fairly likely they won't make much profit off this. With that said I say no we probably won't get a second release. If we do great but that hardly excuses the first one from sucking.

Hahaha. They made it sound like they did something epic by adding "turtles" to forever. That's like spilling something and just putting a pillow over it instead of cleaning it up. I mean hooray they listen to fans but that's just damn lazy.

I'll go on to say that the cover art isn't that big of a deal to me but if you're gonna somewhat change the title might as well change the cover art too.

This (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-TMNT-Forever/13913) hardly fixes everything, but it suggests that Nick ain't too stubborn to listen to fans.......
I'm speechless. Absolutely speechless.:tmad:

It's going to be really hard for the fans from now on without Peter and Kevin to care and guide the franchise like before.

1. OK back to the dvd cover. I'm glad and grateful Nick actually have the "decency" to at least listen to the fans but this right here is ********. I mean seriously, the cover is still the same recycled baggage. Was it really that hard to use the already available beautiful and correct cover picture for the movie? Is nothing sacred and right anymore?

2. I'm still mad that they're going to release the tv runtime (meaning some scenes were cut-off). What's going on in their head selling to people incomplete movie? :trolleye:

3. It's stll freaking full screen eventhough the correct ratio is widescreen, as it was originally planned for theater release. With fullscreen, the left and right side of the videos will be cut off/shielded from view. More points down the drain for enjoyment.

Thanks a lot Nick. We love you. Really. [/sarcasm]:tmad:

I'm just bummed about this whole thing. All we get is a revised title to the hideous dvd art. I agree with everyone this is a bad impression from Nick/Paramount. We really need to get to www.tvshowsondvd.com and try to get them to hear and us and tell Paramount. Yeah lets email them, Paramount too, and Nicko if we have too and see if we can make a difference. Lets be heard. No too be so Battlestar Galactica, "So say we all!"

wouldn't do any good to email tvshowsondvd.com they ain't got nothing to do with it. just email Paramount and Nick and Viacom. or don't even bother cause it's not like that'll matter

Thanks for the heads up Spitfire,
I haven't seen this. It's great that it finally coming out. Though it's a shame that they didn't uses the cover I created. But there is a good chance that what you see there is just a mock up they created. A lot of times what happens when a company can't get elements needed for a cover they put together a dummy copy just to give to stores like amazon cover artwork for pre-orders. Even so I would say to the fans keep pushing to get the original cover, directors cut in HD. It would be a terrible shame if no one got to see the film as it was intended to be seen.

Thanks again :)

-ELO

He basically said it's most likely dummy art. As I mentioned in my message to him it's possible they don't even know about the posters so we need to bring it to their attention.

Did you look at the image after you uploaded it to the site? The size is 800px × 537px. It's nowhere near the size you mentioned because the image hosting site shrunk it down. You'd be better off uploading the file itself to a file hoster, since most image sites will re-size the images automatically.

I completely agree with him. There are TWO freaking months until the dvd will hit the stores. Therefore, it is very probably that the cover is just a dummy. It has been seen several times before. (again I am thinking back on Smash-up, even though it is a game).

One thing I am afraid of, is whether we will get the full version or not. It should be the full version, and it should of course be in HD! But I am still waiting for some more info on this release, before I am gonna freak out, since I cannot see why Nick wouldn't be interested in giving this a proper release.

I just hate how the cover looks so generic. It has the art of like when 2k3 started. They don't even look like what they did in the movie. Just make the cover have something to do with the movie at least put the Technodrome in the background with all the TMNT in front of it with a giant Shredder and that would be a better cover. Hell just put the poster as the cover.

Bull. Fuc*ing. Sh*t.

This movie stars 8 turtles, the cover needs 8 turtles. Why the hell do you think they were on the posters?

Well, I shot a message to Paramount Home Entertainment linking them to E-Mann's posters:

Hi, I wish to contact you in regards to the upcoming release of "Turtles Forever" on DVD. As amazing as it is that Viacom is releasing the movie on DVD, a very large aspect of the film's charm and draw is missing from the released cover art: the inclusion of the '87 Turtles. There are two "posters" that a former 4Kids! artist created to promote the movie, and since Viacom acquired all of 4Kids! Turtles assets it would seem fitting for one, if not both, posters should be used as the cover art.

Here are the links for the two posters (the first will have two, with and without text):

Turtles Forever promotional poster 1.1 (without text):

Turtles Forever poster 2:

(Please note, I have no vested interest in the above posted links, I just wish to see Turtles Forever given proper treatment with regards to final cover art accurately depicting both sets of Turtles meeting).

Thanks much,
Rob Greenhaw

At its original screening, SDCC (San Diego Comic Convention) 2009.

IF you mean on TV, it NEVER has. The ONLY version(s) that have aired on TV have BOTH been editted; the three-part encore of which was edited even MORE heavily than the one that was aired first, as the "Popcorn for Breakfast" movie-offering.

But Powder is right. The ONLY place that it HAS aired IN its entirety was at LAST years Comic Con, during a special screening that Rose and some others here were lucky enough to get to go to. The REST of us were (and still ARE!) left out in the cold on THAT one.

Still not entirely full though... The animated credits were mostly removed, and little fade ins/outs were spliced in here and there. But, click my sig if you want to check if it's still there.

I actually wasn't referring to the extended cut. What I meant was the movie only aired once as a whole. The other time it was cut into 3 episodes and shown across 3 weekends I believe.

Interstitials, animatics, interviews, commentaries, script, bgm jukebox, etc...

I'd like to see them include some interstitials, a jukebox, a commentary (if they can still manage such a thing, legally), and possibly some interviews from cast & crew.

Umm... DONT do that. That simply brings down the amazon sales matrix, Which will effect it's sales. (and I know of many brick and morter stores that use amazon's sales matrix to decide how many copies of a DVD they should pre-order) Plus the fact that you are SPECULATING on what features MAY or MAY NOT be included in the final release.

PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE THE AMAZON FEEDBACK SYSTEM. *sai* enough people do that already... o_O

Thing is, I want this thing to sell poorly if it's just the TV version. And I'm not so sure it's SPECULATING when the distributor has given us a run-time that's almost 10 minutes short of what it should be.

But do you know what the distributer would think if it sells bad?
Here's what most think:
"Well, the Turtles Forever DVD didn't sell well, at least we tried to release that show!"

To many people think that if a bad DVD doesn't sell it means that a better DVD will come to replace the "trash" but the oposit is the effect.
If the Turtles Forever DVD doesn't sell well, Paramount won't produce more TMNT 2k3 DVDs.

Reviewing something you have not spent any time with (in this case, the DVD, not the show itself) is bogus and unethical. Find some other way to vent your nerdrage (I'm using the 'global your' in this sense).

Maybe it'll make them think "Wow, we made a cover that had almost nothing to do with the movie, then we used the cut-for-tv version... we suck ass". And I really don't care if we don't get a single 2k3 DVD out of them, thanks to good old Australia I have every episode on DVD.
