about secrets in the tmnt comics

like a code number in walls or something strange that means something.

i know that one number is dedicated to jack kirby but mmmmm i wanna know if there are secret things or messages.

In some issues, there have been posters on some walls like "Buy Gizmo" and I remember one Doney drawn issue wich had "Bug Man" written on a wall[In case someone didn't know, bug man is Dooney's nickname].

Well.. the whole series started of as a parady of Frank Miller's work... but everybody already knew that...

As for the Jack Kirby thing. It was the Donatello one-shot. April's roomate's name was Kirby and all the monsters and warriors that he drew were drawn in Jack Kirby's style.

And in one of the letterpages during City at War somebody wondered why "Chet" was written a little here and there in the issues, and they answered that it was the name of the boy whose pet turtles fell into the sewer, but I have never actually seen the name "Chet" written in backgrounds and stuff, anywhere in an issue...

Chet is written everywhere in the background of the old comics. Look on signs on buildings, "Chet's Shoes" etc. I'm betting on a Chet reference before the end of the first season of the new toon.

Dude they had a whole story based on chet... like karpo said in turtlesoup.Yeah, that's the only Turtle Soup issue Iv'e got, but i haven't seen Chet in the backgrounds in the other stories.

Yeah.. Chet pops up everywhere. :lol:

I also thought it was cool how they would put posters and graffiti on the rock groups they liked too. In City at War and some of the other black and whites, I noticed this a lot.
