I know that price is in the eye of the collector but given that these have come across my plate, I am debating whether to jump on them..
I came across these in a store, the owner basically said make an offer... so I did..
TMNT #1, 1st edition in VG condition: he is asking $450 at the least..
TMNT #3, NYCC version in FN condition: $325, pretty much agreed on.
Pictures..

If you are interested in owning those books, those are very good prices to pay (unless they have huge defects in them). Make sure the #1 is legit, though.

Are those prices YOUR offers? If so , $350 for #1 aint gonna cut it.

After looking at those pics it seems that issue #1 has some cosiderable yellowing pages. Is it from a non smoking home?

I don't think I would pay $450 for #1 in that condition.

I'll give the merchant a quarter and two Cheerios box tops for that iss. 1.
To give you a comparable number, earlier this year a legit CGC #1 in 3.5 sold for $420 on ebay. Also, consider that finding a #1 for less than $500 or so seems to be something very difficult to do, no matter the condition. So if you wanted a copy of this book, this might be the best bet price wise.
The #3 seems solid to me. Nearly every copy I've ever seen sell has been in the $300 range, at least within the last few years. Though I did have a CGC copy that I sold not too long ago on here for less than that I believe.

Thanks for the input.. I am going to grab the #3. The #1 is still up in the air on my end. I think he is just pulling my leg about someone else offering $450 for it.. It looks a little too beat to pay close to $500, even it is #1.. if he comes to $400, maybe, maybe...

How can you tell that the #3 is the NYCC edition? How much is the original edition worth?
I should consider reselling my #2 and #3, they are either first or second printings and both are in good condition. I honestly don't care about printings, I just want to have printings of every issue in one form or another at some point, I should really sell off everything that is covered in the FIRST Graphic Novels.

The NYCC version has a "whiter" look to it, most easily seen in the "LAIRDS PHOTO". Original edition is worth maybe $10 or so, sometimes a bit more, sometimes less. Your #2 would probably sell around that price point as well. These books are really only valuable when CGCed around 9.6/9.8

Well, that sucks. I have a lot of stuff I would have no problem selling off, but for what I would get it wouldn't even be worth the time involved to list it. I would probably be better off selling off the First Graphic Novels as a lot, just need to double check and make sure I have every issue they include before doing so. I think I paid like $10 or $20 a piece for them, might be nice to have that $40-$80 to put towards debt or other expenses.
$80 seems a bit high but you'd probably get a good bit back.

I was actually the one to offer on that book from Mark. I told him I would pay $350 tops for that book. It's just too beat for me to pay anymore than that. He hit me back and told me someone bought it for $450. Congrats?

I agree with Danny. If you're looking to just be able to say "Hey! I'm in the #1 club!" then this might be the right book for you. Otherwise, I'd wait.
That NYCC #3 looks solid though. I would have no problem paying that price.

Nope, no congrats to me.. Too rich for my blood for that #1 and too beat up.
I don't need a #1 that badly.. I did get the #3 though..
