I know several characters had alternates, including Don/Bebop, Raph, Splinter, Shredder and probably more. But which characters were consistently voiced by the same VA? And, among them, who had the most eps with speaking parts?

I have a sneaking suspicion Cam Clarke is gonna win this race. ^_^

Townsend Coleman did Michaelangelo for every single episode, but he tweaked his voice after season 4.

Cam Clarke did Leo every ep, but he did something different every season until season 4.

Irma never had an alternate, I assume this was due to the fact they could just write Irma out of the story if Darling couldn't make the recording.

Renee Jacobs consistently voiced April O'Neil she made every showing. Though she wasn't features in EVERY episode

Cam Clarke never had a stand in to voice the awsome turtles in blue. He made every single recording and of course had lots of lines. And of course since Cam was always around Rocksteady never had a stand in.

My man Townsend Coleman always voiced Michelangelo, he never had a stand in, and good thing too. I don't think anyone other than him could have voiced Michelangelo and given the presence essenticial to Michelangelo's character.

I don't know who had the most lines between the two.

Townsend Coleman did Michaelangelo for every single episode, but he tweaked his voice after season 4.

I liked how he tweaked it after season four. I thought it fit Michelangelo better. Townsend seemed to relax the wacky surfer energy after while.

your right he did. It's pretty interesting to lisen to his voice. Someone should do a voice reel of leonardo voice changing from seaon one to four.

I'm only aware of one episode where April doesn't appear at all, "The Legend of Koji" from Season 7.

Damn, Gobo are you psychic. I was thinking of this at work...only slightly different. Hear me out:
In the TMNT live action flicks, which 2 Turtles consistantly voiced by the same actors...
Leo and Mikey.
Which Turtle had 2 voices actors...
Donatello.
Which Turtle had a new voice actor in each movie, the same total of actors who played him in the OT...
Raph.
Is it weird that that's how it worked out?

April also wasn't in Atlantis Awakes and Turtle Trek. I would go with Michaelangelo and Leonardo, for being in every episode of the cartoon and having the same voice actor.

So Raph isn't really too Raph.

I'm glad Splinter and April never had stand ins. I really like April in the 80's toon, having a replacment just wouldn't have felt right to me.

Why did Shredder, Raph, Don, and Krang have stand ins?

Unlike many cartoons recorded in the 80's / 90's, TMNT recorded all their scripts with all actors present at the same time so they could play off each other better, rather than having voice actors record their parts separately. So if an actor couldn't make it to the studio, they had to have a stand-in.

Splinter did have a stand in a few times. His alternate was Townsend Coleman. (I'm pretty sure) Actually Townsend Coleman alternated for Krang, Shredder and even VERNON once.

Yep, Townsend's Splinter sounds kinda like the Rat King.

Really? I didn't think so. I thought Townsend's Splinter was pretty dead on. Like Peter Reneday with a cold perhaps.
