Helping grading this comic

My friend has this TMNT #1.. We are in debate about the grade.. I only think it is about 7.5.. I know that scans aren't the best but I had to turn up the brightness.. please let us know what grade you think it is worth.. Thanks!!

I suggest since you have access to the book you watch this video. It is just too hard to determine by only looking at a pic. And a bad one at that.

It's really hard to make out the true details of the pics with the brightness cranked up so much. With a book like #1, being able to discern the details will be crucial in estimating what current market value is.

yeah, from what I can tell the pages are slightly brown, so it maxes out at 8.5, if that. its not my book . I just messed with the pictures cause it is hard to see details with the brightness turned down..

I would definitely grade it under 8.5, but as others have mentioned, the cranked brightness makes it tough to see the details. Given the current images, I'd say it's a ballpark 7.0. If you could get scans of the front and back using similar settings that you used on the interior pages, that'd be better.

Of course, this is just my humble opinion. I may be biased, but it's a fantastic book in any condition. :tgrin:
