Just got these pics from the FX Artist of the final sculpt of the Raphael movie head before it gets molded, casted, painted etc... Please post your opinions of the sculpt and enjoy :-)

I'll be completely honest with my feedback. I think it looks insanely awsome, very lifelike, well textured & shaped, but it doesn't really resemble the movie look. It looks like it could be in a movie, but not any that we've seen thusfar. Nonetheless, its an AWSOME piece (so congrats on that!) & I look forward to seeing the final product.

Thanks for being honest and I agree to some point it doesnt exactly replicate the movie but in ways it does like I think the head shape and mouth look just like the movie but not the eyes really. Its hard to really tell until the piece is finished with eye, teeth, paint, bandanna etc... because it may look allot more like the movie but I didnt expect an exact replica just something that resembles and is based off of the movie but is still high quality. Thanks for the compliments :-)

Yeah it looks pretty sweet! I dig the way the mouth is and how the jaw looks.

In the last pic it actually looks a lot like its movie counterpart.

Yeah I agree, I think once its all done it will look amazing and similar to the movie head. Like I said I wasnt expecting an exact likeness but did want it to be as close to Raph as possible and the paint job should be very close to the movie one paint job. This is actually going to be a stunt head with a fixed expression and will have the fiberglass underskull shell just like the movie.

i think it looks great. kinda cartoony though. but that will probably change when they put the detail on it.

It may not be exactly like the first or second movie's Raph, but it looks very much in that style. Very cool!

Cool pic I just got from the Artist after he poured the first half of the head in silicone and pulled it out of the mold this is how it looks. Came out phenominal if you ask me. :-)

I am a huge Ninja Turtle fan and love the live action movies ever since I was a kid. Raphael being my favorite turtle and The first movie being my favorite movie and look of the turtles I always wanted a replica Raphael Stunt Head for display in my collection. After past attempts at hiring artists to do this I never got exactly what I was looking for but I am pretty positive the final result for this will be it. Cost me a fortune but will be well worth it :-).
