Well Fuhgz has seemed to have done some original TMNT encodes, They aren't the best quality, but they are better than aneurysm I guess. They have a steep filesize,

Meh, I could do better for size, 300 mb for an ep is way too big. The problem is encoding at an excellent resolution is a long and annoying process. For me, 1 minute is over a gig uncompressed. But I will soon release my encode of return of the shredder. I just need to finish compression.

Yeh i thought they'd be good for the filesize but it turns out he just used uncompressed sound :(
Well it probably sure is better than aneurysm's, but for now i guess we're screwed as there's not many hq old tmnt encodes yet.

As for emailing them, are you computer illiterate or something? I don't think 300 megs could even remotely fit on an email attachment

No comment?I was just trying to find out why were you pissed! :tgrumble:
Oh i get it rez, you're pissed because someone encoded hq tmnt, is that it? :p well i dont see artisan releasing old toon tmnt dvds any time soon and encoding an ep does not differ all that much from say, taping it, so i don't know what the fuzz is about.
Or maybe that was not what you meant and i have just made an ass of myself, in which case it'll be your fault for being so mysterious! :P

OK, OK...I'm a bit annoyed at the fact that new encodes weren't found until long after I had burned the aneurysm encodes to about 18 CDs. Now these new ones are out, which practically makes all that work I did downloading the other encodes and spending countless hours burning them to CDs...

umm, I never thought I was computer illiterate, but I've never tried sending anything that big before. How was i sposta know it wouldnt work?

oh and for mIRC, it costs $20 to register, and I don't got the $$$ to be spending, so I'll just try through KaZaA.

You dont -actually- HAVE to register with MIRC to use it..
Ive been using it for 3 years and have never had to register...and you still get all of the capabilities..
But 300 megs is alot for a 30 min show..
Very High Quality movies run at about 600megs...and that about 2 hours worth of veiwing pleasure..

whaddaya ya reckon the limit is for sending an attachment to an email message (in MBs)?

Oh i see rez, im equally pissed, in fact, that has happened to me more times than i could count (by example dbgt, i got the fansub and now higher quality eps are coming out :p ) so i know how you feel.
...
GIMME A HUG  ok, on second thought, stay 2 meters away from me :|
And yes, 300 mb is too much, an hq encode could be good quality at 100 mb or 200, or somewhere around that size, the problem is that since he used uncompressed sound, the size is mondo gigante.
BTW mr.hobbit ya dont need to register mirc to use it, in fact, you can get scripts better than mirc itself for free, try sysreset at http://www.sysreset.com/
It's got more feats, and its free ;) i dunno what the max size for file attachment is, but i can assure you its nowhere near 300 mb, if that would be possible, everyone would be sending huge files to each other, e-mail services would be congestionated, someone that hates you could send you a 300 mb file worth of crap, making it so you are unable to download the rest of your mail unless you download the file you didnt even asked for, and stuff... :p

What you need to do is strip the audio from the file, encode it in MP3, then mux it back with the video. My encodes have a 18Mb audio size, encoded in MP3, but my audio is recorded in MP3 format as it is captured.

Yeah...i think fughz said he didnt do that because there was quality loss...but to me its not that noticeable.
