It took me FOREVER to put together an April O'Neil costume for a TMNT theme party that I helped host, so I thought I would offer my finding to any die-hard April Fans out there.

First off, I'm selling my costume - the jumpsuit and belt. It's a women's size 12: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190433205028&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

For anyone that is making their own April O'Neil costume, don't bother trying to pass off a store-bought Kill Bill costume. I bought one thinking I could convert it, but almost all of them have a huge KILL BILL logo printed over the heart.

Catsuits end up being a little too risque (unless you have the figure for it - then go for it!) Look for 1980's jumpsuits on ebay - they seem to have the right type of shape, and you can usually just cut out the shoulder pads.

I had a heck of a time finding white boots since 90% of them are women's gogo boots. I don't know about you, but a.) Those things never zip around my calves and b.) you'll break your neck in 4 inch heels. After literally trying on 8 pairs of white boots, I found a pair of white MEN'S boots that worked just as well here: http://www.shoebuy.com/funtasma-captain-100/266134/565933

Make sure can google size conversion charts to convert the men's size to women, and also google coupon codes for ShoeBuy since they always have ten gabillion.

Hope that helps someone out there!

A TMNT themed party in Philly? Sounds like that was a hoot! I'd love to see any pictures from that event. I'm sure there were some more neat costumes and characters.
