I was thinking that when I finish with vol 1,2,4, tales vol2 and get fugitoid I was going to put them in chronological order. Has anyone ever done this (not the chrono part but puting them in a box like that? Because once I finish I am going to read from start to finish all 184 comics in order.

I keep meaning to but I never do.

Nah, I keep mine stored in my long boxes by volume (with little plastic dividers with labels on the tops designating each volume).

Makes finding a specific issue easier when I want to read it. That way, if I want to read Tales Vol. 2 #3, I can just go to my Tales Vol. 2 section and flip through the issues in numerical order until I find it. A lot better than having to look up in my timeline where the issue belongs then sorting through the humongous line of TMNT comics until I track it down.

If I want to read a storyline in order, I'm content to just pick the issues out of their sections in my long boxes.

Its stored by Volume.

Why would anyone honestly want to put the Tales issues in order anyway?

I just have them generally set by volume or series. I've been meaning to put my favorite stories and the Eastman/Laird-written canonical stuff into order in a specific part of the box, though.

right now mine are by title and volume... I was thinking about doing it an keeping a printed version of the time line to track a specific comic

Having a printed timeline taped inside the box top would be cool, that way when you wanted to read something just reference it then find it in your boxes.

Oh, and mine are by Volume as well, with the miscellaneous Turtle appearances at the end.

As much as chronological order sounds like a good idea. I wanna be able to reference something without having to jump through a bunch of loopholes first. So.... ordered in numerical. *shrugs*

I got it in volume order, with random specials, and nonchronological minis at the back. Image and Archie are kept in other boxes. Do I personally view Image as canon? Yes, its just in another box as its from a different publisher...

I'm in the Volume Order filing club as well, with some factoring of the publication year. So most of the non-TMNT Mirage books are found before the Image run, then comes Dreamwave and Volume 4. Archies and Mutanimals in the back. It's a pretty great longbox, actually. :twink:

The way I was figuring, I put everything in chronological order in the longboxes along with little handy printouts of Spengler's timeline tucked inside the boxes.

Mine are organized by volume. The majority of my books are Volume #1, which I keep in numerical order. My nice copies (NM+ or better) get mylars and full-backs. The rest are in polybags and normal boards.

Currently stored by volumes, want to store them by time.
