I get misty-eyed in certain spots when watching "Turtles Forever". :tgrumble:
Yeah, my passion for the Turtles runs pretty damn deep. I'm not just hardcore, I'm "crazy hardcore"! :twink:

The two scenes I'm referring to specifically are the Multiverse Collage and the very end with Kevin and Pete (which Nick conveniently cut out! :x)

I think the multiverse scene gets me because it showcases the Turtles in almost every incarnation, and really makes the mind begin racing wondering what other Turtleverses we didn't see. The ending gets me for the very simple fact that it took a love letter to the fans to get the two men who created the Turtles together again. Yeah, I know they each recorded their respective lines on opposite sides of the country at different times, but their voices in the movie make it seem as if their differences were set aside for one last hurrah.

Pete's little chuckle after Kevin's line carries a hint of subtle significance.

The movie is freakin' great and I love how the story was implemented. It's the culmination of 25 years of the Turtles all coming together at once! The greatest thing about my childhood meeting the original version of themselves is almost like fan overload. :tgrin:

Anyway, yeah, just wanted to put this out there.

I teared at the end on my second run but when I first saw it I was damp the whole time, haha.

Nick cut out the scene with Pete and Kevin? BLASPHEMY!!! :x Talk about showing no respect the creators of the franchise. I hope this isn't a start of Nick taking the property and being arrogant a-holes with it.

Yeah, they did. I wondered the same thing. We'll see if it stays that way when it airs again Sept. 6th.

Not that its on topic or anything, but I can't help but wonder if they did that as not to promote the comic books.
Maybe those suits feel that some of the content is questionable or whatever...

Or like Mystic Leo implied and they want to "create the Turtles in their own image", so to speak. It is rather troublesome to think about, but again, maybe it'll be there when it airs again on the 6th. I really hope they do not try to completely erase the vestiges of Eastman/Laird/the comic roots, but thinking back on different shows, I can't think of many that I can honestly remember who created them aside from Spongebob and a few older shows.

I teared up when I watched it the first time and yesterday. It was just so heartwrenching to realize that the TMNT as we know it is gone for good and left to people who will more than likely screw them up.

I got a little sad and dead inside on Saturday seeing it is the last TMNT will be on TV for me. But oh well, Turtles Forever should arrive sometime this week. But yes, I was really sad at the end of Turtles Forever when I saw it seeing how the TMNT have been a big part of my childhood and life since I was born. I was practically born into TMNT because of my brothers. The ending just made me realize that it's finally over.

It gets me too. Comes with being such a big fan. We have love for the franchise. Seeing it end is so damn sad, because that's what it was, the end. Some people cry during Harry Potter movies. The way I look at it I could be worse off.

The very ending with Pete and Kev is like one of my favorite parts about the entire movie. Its just so humble. It makes me feel warm hearing the ''dads'' of the turtles talk about how they hope it will take off.

This is the first I'd heard about the Eastman and Laird ending being cut.

It is also the first time I've given serious thought to not purchasing this DVD at any point in time at all. That's f*cking infuriating.

Probably the same feelings poped up when 2k3 (about OT) was the new show....Best way not to cry: It is more optimistic to think that beside seeing a worthy end, we are on the verge of seeing a new beginning... TMNT isnot ended!!! and we can be agreeably surprise with next stage!

It IS on the DVD. It was just cut for Nick's televising of the movie. Perhaps this is their way of creating a lil purchase incentive?

i got teary eyed too at that scene.

and i'm sure the only reason it got cut is to save time on the tv. least i hope it wasnt done purposely.

still i have hopes and positive thought about the new TV series on nick.:tgrin:

for me, turtles is a never ending franchise. --its just resting for the right time to return to us all TMNTFANS.

Just wondering now that the dvd is actually out. Can anyone actually list (or direct me to a list) of the scenes removed from the dvd? I don't remember which version I have seen.

I think you kinda missed the point the OP was trying to make. Its not a ''sad'' kinda thing. More, happy/emotional. Just because of the way it all played out in the movie. It just made you feel proud to be a turtle fan and to hear Pete and Kev ''acting'' how they were friends back in the day.

I'll admit I was a bit misty-eyed towards the end. Because it's a farewell to not only 2k3, but to the '87 and Mirage TMNT as well. It's the end of one era and the beginning of a new.
