The best thing about this series was the Foot Soldier/Shredder fights

Almost every Foot Soldier/Shredder fight in this show, especially in the first four seasons, was amazing. I was just amazed at not only how well the animation was done, but how good the fight choreography was. For goodness sakes, they actually put work into the fights instead of just generic short punches/kicks.

While the TMNT fighting other aliens/monsters were alright, nothing produces the same level of excitement as all those Foot Soldier and/or Shredder fights the series produced.

They're the highlight of this series IMO.

I couldn't agree more. Nothing beat the first time they fought the turtles. It was so badass. The Foot fight scenes were most deffinately my favorite aspect of the series outside of the episodes that accurately adapted the comics.

Yeah, I was blown away when i saw the episode where they fight the Shredder for the first time. I hadn't really seen a good action scene in a saturday morning cartoon like that before. After that, they just kept raising the bar with the fights with the Foot clan and Shredder.

Any ways the fights were probably the best damn thing about this show. My favorite fights were the Kluh and Rat king ones though, which were beyond epic. The first foot fight was also very cool. The animation was just so smooth and flowed amazingly.

Haven't finished season 4 yet but I agree, the episodes were they battle The Shredder are my favorites, they have great animation and make your adrenaline pump. And, of course, The Shredder being a legitimate threat and almost immortal just made them even better. After he was revealed to be an utrom he just didn't seem as threatening as before, the mystery was gone. Good thing they only fought him two times after the big revelation, otherwise it would have gotten stale. I'm referring to Shredder Ch'rell only by the way.

Yeah, I agree. Those fight scenes were awesome. I loved The Shredder Strikes Back part one and two fight scenes the best. Those were so cool and well done.

Everyone vs Shredder in "Exodus" Part I (and kind of II, but not nearly as good looking)


Everything else was kind of blah. I will agree that the fights were the best part of the series, but many of the best ones didn't involve the Foot at all.

Bishop had some great fights. But the Foot fights were a joy to watch.

Shredder in his armor doesn't have a single well-animated fight scene to his name. And most of the Turtles vs Foot Ninja fights devolve into a kick here, a grunt sent flying off screen there. Most of them are simply mediocre by the rest of the series' standards, and the rooftop fight in "The Shredder Strikes" Part II is easily one of the worst looking outside of seasons five or seven. It is; go rewatch it.

That's cuz he is never really shown fighting if you think about it. In the SHredder Strikes part 2 the Foot fight the TMNT and then Shredder comes in and takes them all out with cheap shots. The best Shredder fight was in Exodus 1 and 2, to be fair though the first fight he was Saki, not Shredder Hell even in Return to New York part 3 he was just blasting the TMNT with the Tengu sword.

Yeah they won many times too easily but then again you can't waste air time on fighting same enemies they have fought many times before. Got to keep plot moving.

I think Shedder vs Turtles in Return to the NY part3 was the best Shedder fight scene. Exodus part 1 comes close but RTTNY was just epic. True Shedder had magic sword helping him then again it was 4vs1 so it needed some balancing.

Yeah, one of the best fights were the first time they fought Karai and her two Foot bodyguards or whatever. I also liked the animation when they fought the Turtlebot. And as for Shredder, I really liked the intensity in Exodus part 1. I mean GAWD DAMN, you can really feel the hatred they had for the Shredder by then, every hit looked like a killing blow. It's like... they didn't want to just defeat Shredder, they wanted to END him. Damn. I might wanna watch it again.

For me, it wasn't just the Shredder/Foot fights, but basically all of the multiple part episodes. Some of my favorite episodes were from the alien invasion at the beginning of season three.

yeah i liked the fights but it seems sometimes the foot wouldnt really try like with rtny the foot techs could hae killed them andthe elite in shredder strikesback when leo was down they. but maybe being a ninja group with fight with honor. Then again its akids show.

Only worst thing during fighting the Foot in April's apartment they use same Splinter fight scene before they used it.

Like I've said countless times before, for me the best fight between the turtles and Shredder was in "Bad Day" (where it wasn't even real). The reason is because the turtles could actually get in some hits and would get up and keep fighting. When the turtles would fight Shredder in the earlier episodes, Shredder could knock them out cold with one punch and they'd never get a hit in. I hated that. I thought the best fights were between the turtles and Agent Bishop, as well as after Karai took over Shredder's armor. And the last "good fight" scene in the entire series was "Ninja Tribunal" when they fought the wooden soldiers. No fight after that ever entertained me.

I'm sorry guys but the best animated fight scenes in recent cartoons are found in Avatar the Last Airbender. :/ That show actually got my attention more than the 2K3 TMNT when it was aired locally here.

The Turtles fighting Bishop IS awesome though. The final fight against the Shredder in Exodus? Not so much.
