That was scary!

I think I need therapy. I was playing NHL2k3 for my X-Box and got really REALLY angry when my team couldn't score on the power play 7 times. The fact that I hadn't won in 4 games also accounted to this. So there I was on my 8th Power Play. For those who don't know it's when a player from the other team goes into the penalty box and your team has an extra man advantage. So I took my shot and it hit my own player. It bounces to an opponent at the line and he skated away on a breakaway. Of course he scored. Short handed. Haven't allowed one all season. So this is the scary part. I took my foot and kicked my tv with all my might. It's only a cheap 27" no-name but it's the only one I have. I kicked it so hard it went blank. Then I smelt smoke and the tv started to make strange poping sounds. Then it started to do it really loud and there was lots of it. I freaked out. I was going nuts for a second then I unplugged it and the sounds died away. I had to open all my windows to get the smell out. I was so freaked out. Now I have no TV. That was the first time I lost my temper that bad, especially over a video game. I've broken my share of tv remotes and console controllers but NEVER anything like this....on the bright side my parents might by me the brand new progressive scan I've been wanting for so long! :D

Sounds like something raph would do rather than mikey :P anyways, im glad you're getting a new tv, just take care of it next time, i know games can be irritating, but if you need to chill punch a pillow or other non-expensive and non-electronic stuff :p

lol! I tried as hard as I could. I had a pillow beside me but I just had this giant urge to kick it after I saw that damn Fredrick Modin dancing around like a fairy boy after he scored. Lately I've been good with my electronics since my controllers seem to go from having 3 to none at all when my friends play with them. Pillows just aren't good enough for me. I need something solid to hit or I'll just go crazy. At least I'm not pinning all the anger up inside of me until I get so angry I break the system and the game.

:lol: Yeah, its good to let anger out or else something worse could've happend eventually, but what if the tv exploded and hurt you? :p
Ah...that reminds me of the time when there was a lot of heat (it was summer =\ ) and i left a tape on the vcr, smoke started coming outta it and it smelled like heck, now i dont have a vcr lol :D

lol! That happened to my copy of Super Mario Bros 2. :( It was a sad day indeed. I was afraid it would explode so I was freaking out.

Yeah :| i cant even remember what tape was in it...but it wasnt my tmnt movies one or my bikermice from mars one so i dont really care :D
Oh well, noone got hurt and you're getting a new tv so as long as yer careful next time it'll be fine.

Well my parents have been promising me a new tv for years. Especially since they bought my sister a very nice one and I've got the handmedown tv's for years. It was around for 3 years before I got it. That was 4 years ago. So all in all I'm pretty sure they'll get me a new one.
