Talk about Oroku Saki.

Oroku Saki was always full of surprises throughout the show. Like all the terrible things he did to Stockman. We found out in Secret Origins he's one of the Utroms. In Exodus, we found out he had many other names: Ch'rell, Tora Non, Kaka Naso, Duke Acureds, and of course The Shredder. Then in the Lost Season, we found out the Oroku Saki we got to know throughout the show wasn't the only Oroku Saki to exist. There was the original Oroku Saki who became Tengu Shredder.

It all boils down to which Oroku Saki you speak of.

I mean they are wide and diverse and each being a completely separate entity with vastly different stories and characterizations.

The original Oroku Saki was a man seeking vengeance for the the death of a brother, basically trying to set him up as a somewhat sympathetic villain...despite being a less than stellar character.

The original animated Oroku Saki was a scientific genius albeit quite aloof and well...not all that threatening of a menace...

The movie Saki was a jealous rival who recruited only the seediest and most down-trodden members he could...he was a manipulator...

The Next Mutation Saki was a man who was apparently made un-evil by a Shinobi female Turtle (yeah the less said about that one...the better)

Finally the Utrom Oroku Saki was a genius business man with centuries of knowledge, completely heartless and basically not a nice guy...he was also a complete maniac who was willing to destroy himself in an attempt to destroy the Turtles (i.e. in Turtles Forever)

Since this is a thread in the 4Kids TMNT thread I'm guessing he means the last one. I really liked Oroku Saki in this series. Just such an evil SOB.

I was highly disappointed when I found out Oroku Saki was just another utrom suit. I thought he was either a real person acting as a stand-in for Ch'rell, kind of like Ra's al Ghul's double in Batman Begins. Or, he could have been the political leader of the foot clan being controlled from the background by Ch'rell (and in turn they would betray each other at some point.) I mean, Saki is usually so cool and calculating whereas the Shredder is monstrous and tyrannical. It's almost like they're two different characters.

I was both shocked and disapointed when I found out the Shredder was a utrom.
I've always like the human aspect of the tmnt, that the turtles themselves stood out among the other characters.

I got over it and found things I liked about the idea of an Utrom-Shredder(what!?!..."Krang" is Shredder??Kinda' cool....)

Saki was a cool character in those episodes before the utrom poped out.
He seemed calm and calculating. And boy oh'boy was he badass when i put on the armour! One of the coolest version of ol'shred-head if you ask me.

When I found out about the original Saki The first Utrom Saki got better.
I liked the idea of this alien stealing someone's identity. And this could have led to a great storyline. It would have been great to see both Shredders fighting over the title.

So as it went I became a bit let down by how they used the human Saki.
It could have been awesome to see those two fight, and also getting a new fresh Shredder.

Btw....I didn't like when he became digitised shadow of his old self.....

I thought Saki was a good villain for the most part. He almost got Leo to join him. If it wasn't for Splinter telling the story of Yoshi's murder I bet you anything Leo would've joined the Foot. Saki had that convincing demeanor down pat. His voice was menacing and almost snakelike at times. I really liked him and even liked when it was revealed that Ch'rell stole his identity. I would've loved for the Tengu and Utrom Shredders to duke it out, though we know that didn't happen.

I think he isn't Utrom,He's different than other utroms and He moves like a teleport.I remember one episode He stand few steps away Hun than moves like a light and catch Hun in just under half second.He also moves quickly in turtles forever without exosuit.My theory He's actually another creature when he going different planet disgues himself planets most powerful form, like He did it in earth.I also remember in exodus finale utroms shows some weird creature face during showing his past.

I'm pretty sure Ch'rell was a Utrom. We see that in CAW part 3, the worms are healing his body

I would've loved for the Tengu and Utrom Shredders to duke it out, though we know that didn't happen. Actually it did happen in the first episode of Back to the Sewer.

I loved the Utrom Shredder's "Oroku Saki" persona. It was one of the many great things about the 4Kids cartoon that I feel made it superior to the original cartoon. I wish that the creators would've just left the Shredder a human and not made him an utrom. I was only ok with it since the utrom had very little screen time. Between the three personas (utrom, Saki, and the Shredder), the "Oroku Saki" persona had the most screen time.
