Anybody else having Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles flashbacks?

I had one this evening. (Yesterday now, since it's 12:41 am)

I was baby-sitting my sister's boyfriend's younger siblings, and the two wanted to watch a movie. So I looked through our DVD's, trying to find a good kids movie with action, and comedy so they wouldn't get bored with it.

So, I found...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II The Secret of the Ooze.

I looked at the dvd case, and was like. 'heeeeeyyyy this should be good.' So I popped it in, sat on the couch with the kids, and hit play.

Then; as the movie played, I remembered that when I was little I used to watch TMNT II on reapeat everynight I went to sleep, and remembered that those four, green guys were the ones that made LOVE pizza. I mean I loved it before, but they had made me love it even more.

Then I was like. 'Wow...I forgot just how much I enjoyed these guys.

It brought back so many memories.

Well I also had many Flashbacks concerning the Turtles, for example:

In the 90's (Turtles were shown in Austria & German trhough the 90s) I was a big Fan, had most of the Toys (except Krang!) and all of the german VHS Tapes. But I always kept rewatching the Episode "Enter the Fly" - I have no Idea why.

Fast Forward to 2010:
My Uncle, his Wife and their 6 Year old Daughter came over to our House for a Party. My Mom told me to watch a Cartoon with her, on which my Uncly replied "But no Anime Bullcrap from Japan".
So I went through my DVD and VHS Collection and found my VHS Tape with the TMNT Episode "Enter the Fly" which we then watched. After the episode my cousin ran down into the livingroom to her Parents and said that "When I grow up I wanna be a Hero Turtle" and I remembered my childhood, when I kept telling my Parents that I'm gonna be a Turtle, live in the Sewers and fight villains from other dimensions ^^

Good Times!8)

Awwwwwwww! :3 That's so nice! Being a turtle would be awesome.

I used to be SO into TMNT that I would actually quote lines from the movies, and cartoons. 8D Knew 'em by heart. But sadly I was told to stop, so I've forgotten a lot of them. ):

From the cartoon there were so many one liners.Mainly from Rapheal.Though Donny had some as well.I I remember from the "Dimention X Story" was "With a tornado, are you sure he's not trying to send us to OZ".

Wtf kinda thread is this? This is the technodrome, home of the nutso obsessers whose lives revolve around the turtles. 75% of the people here don't have flashbacks because they live it daily. None of us "used to love the turtles so much" because we (the majority of us) love them more now then ever.

Billa K, I think what your talking about is just nostalgia. A real flashback is much more powerful than that. :)

The smell of a karate gym gives me a ninja turtles flashback.

When I was 6 years old, like many other 6-year-olds, I was obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When my parents asked me if I wanted to take karate, of course I was ecstatic about the idea. (Because karate = ninja, that's what every little kid thinks.)

I even remember watching the cartoon before going to karate. When I would get there, the gym was old and smelled funky. I didn't really appreciate what the instructor wanted to teach us; all I wanted to do was jump around and do karate kicks. I made myself a red headband out of the belt to my mom's bathrobe, because Raphael was my favorite turtle.

I never got far in karate because I had heart problems, but to this day I strongly associate ninja turtles with that place.

ANd what I mean by 'Used to' Was because I had grown out of them. sorry if that bothers you. -_-
