I normally place acquisitions in my collection thread, but I thought this was a large enough discovery warrant a thread in the comic section.

This find comes at an odd time because the original art for the cover of Gobbledygook #1 has recently been discovered as well.

It was during a discussion several weeks ago about that find that Kevin mentioned that he still possessed the art for the cover of Gobbledygook #2.

As I divulged a little while back, it was my unfathomable honor to have Kevin serve as my best man for my wedding to my beautiful wife yesterday (plenty of pictures of the event are on their way in the coming days).

In an amazing act of friendship, Kevin did something that surprised me to say the least. His wedding gift to me was the cover art for Gobbledygook #2.

It is with great honor and seriousness that I become the guardian on this historic work of art for the rest of my natural life.

That's pretty cool. :) What a swell dude. Wish he'd get back into comics; I really miss his exceptional layouts. The guy basically makes well-photographed, tightly edited movies in comic form, and that's perhaps why he's my favorite comic book artist. Great art style, too. As much as I like Simon Bisley, I'd love to see how Bodycount and Fistful of Blood would've looked with Eastman drawing.

Oh, yeah, there's that, too. :p Not knowing you personally, I didn't think to comment on it, but I hope your marriage is lifelong and healthy. :) What an exciting time.

You got his TMNT Artobiography? Its got Eastman's thumbnails for Bodycount in it, which are wonderfully detailed, and gives you a taste of what an Eastman Bodycount would've looked like...

Also, congratulations on your wedding Archon. What an amazing gift.

Yeah, that section of the book gives a good taste of "what could have been." Wish he'd release all his Bodycount layouts online in high quality. :)
