Okay, I don't mean the toys or things like that, but the movies.
Where is the oddest place you've watched a TMNT movie or cartoon?
For me it has to be my Sci Fi Lit class at school. We just started TMNT 3 today (I never noticed how messed up their costumes are in this one till now). Only one person voted against it, and the rest of the class started chanting "Turtles, turtles, turtles." VERY scary :o .
I'm gonna bring in my comics tommrow so they can see where the TMNT came from. I'll also tell them when the new 'toon is on.

Only TMNT movie worth showing in public is the first. The second might be watchable in need of nostalgia, but I would never show the third one...

My teacher coulden't find the first or second one to rent, and we had to start on the movie today otherwise i would have brought in my VHS of movie 1.
Splinters voice in this one is... well... its crap.

Hmm. I don't think I'm watched TMNT in any odd places. However, I did plan on showing an episode of TMNT in my Law class.
Sigh.
I didn't show it though. It would have made my presentation too, too long :P. So I showed them images of the new TMNT ^^. LOL it got a lot of people happy =D

Violence in the media...
I was demonstrating that shows such as TMNT and X-men promote pacifism and that they don't need to be censored.
It created a huge class discussion.

But yeah.. I think this was the LAST place I expected to see TMNT anything. I was going to S. Korea last year, and we had a change over at the Narita airport in Japan. Among the small number of other Americans there, my husband spotted a college age girl wearing a green shirt with the cartoon TMNT logo on it. Then when we were waiting in line to board, he mentions to her that I like the TMNT too. :goofygri: She just nodded, and said she just liked the shirt for retro 80's reasons.

Yeah.. I can belive yah. When I did get to Seoul, Korea. I kep a subconscious eye out for them there. But I saw nothing TMNT.. just lots of Digimon. I even poked through an antique style collectors store that was int he more touristy parts of downtown Seoul. It had old Marvel and DC comics, GI Joe stuff, lots of old American and Korean toys. Still no TMNT. I did find these cute little jade turtle carvings, and bought some of them for souviners.

I was at this night club, for 18 and up....I think it was called..err.."Majestic" or something...and they played it...the first movie..
And then one time...about 4 months ago, I was at a strip club and they were playing the same thing....But I think the clubs were owned by the same people....
That night I dont think I watched to many of the strippers...

The last time I saw the first Ninja Turtles movie, it was on of those tour buses. Only about three people out of the 40 in the bus were paying any attention; the rest were all bored out of their skulls.

Yeah, that bugs me how most people after a certain age are just "too cool for everything".
I just don't get why people can't just like what they wanna like, even past the "generally accepted age." Sigh.
And the only "unusual" place I saw anything TMNT-related was every time I looked at my friend James in high school. I swear, this guy thought he WAS a ninja turtle. All his art projects, from this wire sculpture he gave our Creative Writing teacher, to the mural he painted on the wall, all TMNT-related. Needless to say, a lotta people thought the guy was nuts and he was shunned accordingly, and that always bugged me. Keep in mind that this is high school years in central NJ, where if at the age of 15 you don't spend every waking moment talking about sports and women then you "have something wrong with you".
I admired the way he was, though. He actually helped me rediscover my own TMNT fandom after I'd been out of it for a while. I think he'd fit in great around here, where seemingly everyone is just like him. :P
Sadly, he's not with us anymore.

Well, I don't have a story about movies, but there is a 6 ft wooden carved statue of original cartoon style Raphael in my favorite Mexican restaurant, in fact, I'm eating take-out from there right now. Maybe I should get a pic.

you know now that I think of it, I went to a video store looking for a movie with some friends, and they were playing that movie, I watched it for awhile when we were there, and me and some of the employees actually were yelling the next lines out to eachother... that was a good time
