which gremlins movie is the best?
i pick gremlins 2.

Gremlins 1 because it is darker....

But the "civilized" gremlin in Gremlins 2: The Next Batch, was pretty cool, especially when he shot the other Gremlin with the magnum. :D

I voted both because I couldn't decide which one I liked more.....I like the darkness of the first one and the second one where Gizmo does the rambo thing.....

The first for sure. I didn't like the second as much. It was funny but I enjoyed the darker tone of the first. It just seemed better for the movie.

I always liked Hulk Hogan's cameo, was that the second?

I voted none. That movie scared me as a child and gave me nightmares :P

Jasmine? Who's that?

It's funny someone brought up this topic, 'cause I was at the mall a few days ago and the came across the Gremlins DVD.

It brought back the memories...

The memories... O.o

Hulk Hogan was in Gremlins 2. That alone makes Gremlins 2 far superior.

I can't believe they got Christopher Lee, a highly respected actor, to appear in Gremlins 2. The first one is better, even though they are both kind of gay.

i like part 2 cause of the gremlins new look and names.

daffy the goof-ball
lenny the buck tooth gremlin
george the grump
mohawk/spider-gremlin
brain gremlin
bat-gremlin
greta or gremlina-the female gremlin

and some other gremlins that have name.

2, just because of the mutants

Karpo_007

First one of course. Altough Gremlins 2 is pretty good too, it doesn't reach to the same level.

Leo656
04-09-2003, 05:23 AM
Sure it does, it has Hulk Hogan in full costume in the middle of a crowded movie theatre screaming at a bunch of slime-covered muppets while throwing popcorn everywhere. That scene alone was more entertaining than Titanic. :D

Karpo_007

First one was much darker, the second one went more to comedy. And the plot was repeatitive.

I wish I could remember them better, the only thing I remember is Hulk Hogan, so that one wins

Yeah, and secret of Ooze has Kevin Nash, of corse it's the best TMNT movie!

Leo656
04-09-2003, 09:09 AM
Well DUH.

...Oh, wait... that was sarcasm, wasn't it? Blast you, Karpo!

Actually, Nash was by far the BEST thing in that wretched sequel. He almost makes up for Vanilla Ice. Almost.

Karpo_007

Super Shredder is one of the stupidest ideas the movie had... But I agree, Vanilla Ice was much worse.

Damn.. I don;t even remeber the second Gremilins movie.

Oh.. anyone see Eight Legged Freaks? That one kinda reminded me of Gremlins too... sorta.

Leo656

The *idea* of SuperShredder? Yeah, perhaps. However, I just love knowing that behind the mask is a 7-foot bad-ass who wears leather pants and overly conditions his hair. Gives the whole thing kind of a sentimental feeling for me.

Must be a Wrestling fan thing... Well I did like Super Shredder as a kid, but even then I tought he died way too easily.

knowing that Nash's super sexy set of hair is behind the helmet DOES make it better than TMNT 3, I'll let you know!

Leo656

I agree with you wholeheartedly on that one, Karpo. If Nash's hair wasn't restricted by that damn helmet, he would have no-sold that pier collapsing, JackKnifed each of the Turtles one after the other, then stood atop their beaten carcasses....

....before tearing his quad in half while triumphantly walking away.

That would have made an amazing ending to that flick.. Hogan should have dropped the leg on a gremlin imo

gremlins one is bettter.

the second one was good, except for that damn girl gremlin, how can you have a female of an asexual creature?

there was gonna be a direct to video gremlins 3 but it never got made, there's an ad for it in one of my old arcchie tmnt comics

I always wondered why they didn't have Hogan do that.

But then again, I was MORE concerned about why the only way you can actually SEE his appearance is if it's on TV. For some reason the VHS version doesn't have Hogan's scene.

Really? Who is in the VHS version?

Does anyone have it on DVD? is he in the DVD?

Leo656
04-09-2003, 09:33 AM
Yeah exactly Karpo. I remember as a kid I was confused and upset that his name was clearly in the credits, "Guest Starring Hulk Hogan", but I rewatched the movie 5 times and never caught a glimpse. Then one day it came on TV and I saw it and was like "WTF? That wasn't on the video!"

Karpo_007

I think that the one ón TV was the Theatrical version, and they used an alternate scene on the VHS.

Must be a Wrestling fan thing... Well I did like Super Shredder as a kid, but even then I tought he died way too easily.Agreed. In the first movie, Shedder lays the smack down on all four turtles. But in the second movie super shedder gets beaten by a pier. Does anyone else have a problem w/ that?

I definitely do, for reasons already stated. :D

I vote for the second Gemlins movie! I loved the weird mutated gremlins, and there were so many funny moments. Of course, the Hulkster cameo was pretty unexpected too, but it made the movie more memorable. :D

I usually don't wish for sequels, but they could do some pretty cool Gremlins with CGI... Of course the plot would probably be recycled again. If they would come up with something new, third movie could work.

Gremlins 2 had Tony Randall sining an incredible "New York, New York" while voicing a scaly green midget with glasses.

That alone makes it one of the greatest movies of all time.

Wow, I'm gonna have to say both...it's really hard to choose because I like how they looked in the second one when they were furry, but the first one had a cooler story...mohawk/stripes my fav!!!
