Is she a kid throughout? Or does she age?
I haven't had the chance to see any of the volume 3 stories, but I'm interested to know if the writers just kept her as a kid and then she's just suddenly a teenager in volume 4 (I know that vol. 3 wasn't considered canon when Laird was writing vol.4).

Vol. 3 covers a full year (spanning one Turtle birthday to the next), so Shadow only ages, well, one year.
And yeah, then in Vol. 4, she's suddenly a teenager, but Vol. 4 sort occurs many years after Vol. 3 (if you were to include them in canon).
Tales Vol. 2 has several stories that cover what could be called a "Mirage Vol. 3" and shows Shadow at several different ages, though there's still a wide gap of "lost time" between her being an elementary schooler and her being a teenager.

I can't get to my comics at the moment, but IIRC she was 3 or four in the series. There is an arc that deals with her being kidnapped by her father's family close to her birthday.
Also, while Volume 3's timeline was "present day" and tried to progress in "real time", the chronology of events could easily have Shadow's age line up with her age in Volume 4.

Thanks for the answers!
The only stories that I remember having her as a teenager are the werewolf stories, Paris Nocturne and then Volume 4.
Though, I guess it makes kinda sense that she wouldn't have a lot of solo stories.
