Where's three?

The Image book should include Big Bang #10 as well.

..or they may wait until a little bit more closer to the date of the movie release
(if it ever comes out)so they can sell more copies.

I thought this was about the Mirage stuff as Omnibuses? What does Scholastic have to do with this? The Mirage stuff wouldn't be suitable for kids. I'd only stick with the stuff that has a consistant flow. Anything that changes the flow would make the TMNT books look odd. To me its stick with the main narrative (this maybe inaccurate, trying to fit at least 15 issues or so):
Vol. 1: TMNT #1-11, Solo turtles/fugitoid
Vol. 2: TMNT #12-15, #17-21, #24-29. I'd put in others from #30's - #40's but I've only read this stuff once and some were just wacked some are different interpretations, again I'd just put in the odd ones that are normal leading up to "City at War".
Vol. 3: "City at War", starting with the "Grey" arc and CAW after.
Vol. 4: be the entire TMNT Vol. 2 run.
Vol. 5 (to 6?): Image's TMNT Vol. 3 run. if this needs to books then so be it.
Vol. 7 (to 9?): TMNT Vol. 4 run possibly split up into at least 3 books.
Vol. 10-12: could be all the other spinoffs, minis, all short stories ever done, etc, a book for all the odd stuff from vol. 1 as well (or not bother?).

Vol. 1 Tales should actually be slotted into the other books somewhere too or just give Tales its own run of Omni books. Whatever Paramount/Nicko does, I prefer they just focus on Eastman and Laird's "core" narrative stories, I actually cringe at the wacky stuff and think that stuff shouldn't be reprinted. My opinion is that they need to show the TMNT to the public (bookstores & comic stores) in a proper respectful manner of what the TMNT comics actually are/were. Not show all the other odd stuff that'd make the public cringe at bookstores "this crappy stuff is TMNT comics?" I thought strictly only Vol. 1 1-11, 19-21 and #48-62, Vol. 2, Vol. 3 and Vol. 4 and the Tales stuff only. But I realize this'd be pathetic somewhat if Vol.1 was strictly just presented in a small bit as there some stories that I don't have a problem with. Vol. 1 was really narrowed down from Peter Laird's opinion of what is continuity(if I'm wrong please correct me). It doesn't need to be adhered to his thinking anymore either. TMNT comics was drawn by Jim Lawson so much that I think that'd make people cringe. If he didn't change his style TMNT comics may have had lots of kick ass art. I think they can pull off a series of books but whether they should do too many books or make not much of these reprints is the question? Sorry this is too long.

I agree with DK2 that some comics don't really need to be reprinted. An omnibus system would work best with the core, 'canon' storyarcs. Mine would work something like this:

Vol 1: TMNT 1-9, along with the Fugitoid, Raph, Mike, and Don minis, and Tales 3 & 5-7 interspersed throughout [16 issues]
------
Basically the Collected Book Mirage released recently minus the Leo-mini and plus some Tales issues. I think the first volume of Tales fits nicely into the continuity of TMNT issues that were released around the same time. Spengs has a decent order and placement for those issues on his timeline which is pretty similar to my own.

Vol 2: Leo mini, TMNT 10-15, 17, 19-21, and Tales 1-2 & 4 interspersed throughout [14 issues]
------
This would have a nice start and finish as the "Shredder" omnibus, beginning with his return in the Leo one-shot, and ending with his demise at the end of the 'Return to New York' arc.

Vol 3: TMNT 24-30, 43, 45-47 [11 issues]
------
Kind of the filler omnibus of stories I consider canon from the first volume.

Vol 4: TMNT 48-62 [15 issues]
------
The 'Shades of Gray' and 'City at War' arcs. This is probably the only omnibus that desperately needs to be printed, as the last 4 have seen print in various collected trades here and there, and the City at War arc is so crucial to the development of the turtles.

Vol 5: TMNT (v2) 1-13 [13 issues]
------
The final arc that should be printed in omnibus format. After this things get different. TMNT (v3) is a whole new ballgame, and while a collected format would be awesome, I wouldn't include it as part of this omnibus series. TMNT (v4) is unfinished and not really up to the standard of the first volumes in my opinion, though it too, would benefit from a collected format. Some of the Tales (v2) issues are excellent, and canonically would fit into the above stories - but I think they are best read separately and individually.

EDIT: and I suppose if these were monster omnibuses, Volumes 1 & 2 could be condensed into 1, and 3-5 into another, so that the first volume would culminate with Return to New York, and the second would contain the post-Shredder arcs.
