Don't know if anyone has ever noticed but the Shriekers from the movie "Tremors 2 AfterShocks" look pretty much exactly like what Mousers would look like "alive".

They both even have their seeing-sensor on top of their heads. Only diffference really are the Shriekers long tounges.

Pretty cool don't ya think?

It was a direct to video sequal of Tremors. This time it only had Fred Ward and Micheal Gross,no Kevin Bacon.

I agree that the resemblance is striking. How they got away with no lawsuit is beyond me (not that they necessarily would have lost it and had to pay Mirage money). What year did said movie come out? I'mma have to do research now. There were live mousers in TMNT: Fast Forward, by the way.

Tremors 2 was in 1996. Waaaay after the original TMNT and the comics.

I think your taking it a bit too far with the lawsuit thing. These Shrieker monsters were evolved forms of the original giant worms from the first movie. Besides like I said it's from '96. I'm pretty its just coincidence. If they were robots then Id think it was a little fishy.

I just posted this because I thought it was cool.

It could have been inspired by the Mousers. Nothing wrong with finding inspiration in someone else's work; it's pretty much the basis on which all art springs from. :tsmile:
