I ask this because I've just broken my second cell phone recently. I'm really frustrated at it. How many cell phones have you broken? What do you think of it?

I'm not stupid and take care of my phones. I've dropped my phone once, and that was over 5 years ago.

I've never broken my phones, neither. Dropped them, yeah, but I try to keep 'em in good conditions.

Zero. My very first Nokia (like, 10 years ago) even went through the wash and after it dried started working again. The case on my iPhone has saved it a handful of times.

Although it ain't broken, my phone just now is kicking around without a back, meaning the battery is exposed. I call it my x-ray phone! Dropped it in a club when I was rather drunk, and it wasn't until I woke the next day that I realised that the back was missing. Been like that for around four months now, but as it has a protective cover, and the battery clips in, so it can't fall out, I just haven't bothered to get a new back...

I've had one die on me at complete random, but I've never broken one. My first cell lasted from December 2006 to January 2009. It randomly just stopped working while I was reading a text. Nothing could get it to start again. I've had my current one since that one went kaput.

I had a sh*tty Samsung for 4 years and it's still going. I kicked it in favour of WP7 last month, though.

And yeah, I don't know how people can break their phones. I've worked in construction/maintenance for years with an unprotected phone and never had anything happen. In comparison, my dad, who does the same thing, has had 2 phones a year for the past 4 years and it's only gotten worse with the sophistication of newer phones.

I never broke any of the cell phones I had. One of them was dropped (killed) by a friend once, though.
Needless to say I got him back (guillotine + "Barbie Girl" on repeat).

I can't break my previous Gaga phone, aka Motorola Droid. Kinda' attached to it. Almost dropped it in a toilet once though.

Never broken one....I've owned 5 now.

My brother has two kids though......he's always having his phone broken or lost. People really should train kids not to touch stuff that isn't theirs. If I can teach my hyperactive dalmatian to "leave it" a 2 and 4 year old should be able to learn it too.

I dropped my last phone on the floor once and the screen cracked, but it still worked. My iPhone is pretty much on the brink of death, though. What a piece of sh*t.

Owned cellphones since 1998, I think the first one dropped and liquid crystals spilled under the monitor.

Zero for me. My current phone is kind of a piece of crap though.
I think the software written for the hardware isn't 100% compatible.
It's a low-end Sony Ericsson. I think they are designed to last the
term of the contract.
