Hmm... Here's a few that I'm currently following:
Gutwallow (Dan's finishing up the last issue of his Fury of the Furries mini-series this month!)
Xin: Legend of the Monkey King (This was a 3 part mini-series, but it's going to be turned into a regular series soon).
I also buy JLA/JSA graphic novels on occassion. I recently bought the JLA/JSA crossover, Virtue and Vice. It rocked. :D Lookin' forward to JLA/Avengers...

The only American comic books I read are TMNT, some of Garth Ennis' Punisher stuff and some of the Ultimate Marvel books like Daredevil/Elektra. I've lost a lot of interest in Marvel Comics since EVERYONE who dies comes back sooner or later but it's still nice to read some single storys.
Instead of American comics I read lots of Mangas. At the moment my favourite one is Rorouni Kenshin by Watsuki Nobuhiro but I also like One Piece, Naruto, Vagabond, Eagle etc.

The only american comic I read besides TMNT is Ultimate Spider-Man.
This series makes me think about the movie. Besides that, I only read Manga.

I avoid Super-Hero comics with a passion these days, unless there is a guest artist on board like Joe Maduria. Either way, I'm trying to sell off my collection of comics from the late 70s, to last year. If anyone has anything in mind, I'll sell at awesome prices. At the moment, I've only been reading the Transformers and TMNT books, and picking up Usagi Yojimbo along the way. GI Joe was interesting at first, but when the art got bad around issue 7 I gave up on it. I want to see the GI Joe vs Transformers book tho...

Besides TMNT, I love collecting issues of The Simpsons as well as random issues of the original Spider-Man comics
TMNT is the only comic I'm currently "collecting".
I first started out collecting Xena: Warrior Princess, then moved on to Lady Death and other Chaos! Comics, Danger Girl, Lady Pendragon (sensing a theme here?) and a few issues of Witchblade, Tomb Raider, and Fathom, plus bits that I got sent as "gifts" from the club I was in. Plus I recently picked up Vol. 1 of the Manga, Mars.
At the moment, there are no comic book stores in my area, the closest thing we have is the graphic novel section at Barnes & Noble. I'd love to go in and scan titles and such, expand my collect, but my current situation is very limiting: can't drive, with no place I can walk to.

I'm not much into comics...i've readed some batman, x-men, x-force, captain atom, cazador, spawn, tmnt, spiderman, list goes on...
The only ones worth were tmnt, cazador and spawn, and the last two were because of the awesome art...but i've readed some old transformers and gi joe comics and like them a lot.
I've also readed some of the slam dunk manga and like it a lot but im more into the series.
Then there's those comics i always wanted to read but could never find em in argentina, like usagi yojimbo and albedo, i'm assuming they're good.
Other than TMNT.. uh, Usagi Yojimbo ... nothing recent really.

Cool, another Dorkin/Dyer fan :D
I used to read superhero stuff several years back, but now I find myself reading(almost) nothin but Indy stuff. Also used to read SLG stuff like DORK and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac(et al.), but I can't seem to get into them anymore. Still read my old Pirate Corps/Hectic Planet books though.
The ones I'm collecting these days are:
-TMNT
-POWERS by Bendis/Oeming
-Stray Bullets(very awesome crime comic)
-the occasional Powerpuff comic, if it's well-written/funny
HorseTechie

I almost forgot...
Did anyone else know that none other than SuperShredder himself, KEVIN NASH, once had a comic book? it's true...
http://www.dxfiles.net/Imagery/comicnash.jpg
I actually have it. Something about Nash being this bad-ass who goes around fighting people and nailing chicks. It's terrible, but in an "oh my God Kevin freaking Nash has a comic book" kinda way.

Heh... I remember thumbing through an old Ultimate Warrior comic book. That was scary.
Leo656
04-14-2003, 05:14 PM
I was trying to forget about that. Along with the fact that I have them.
Thanks Az. Thanks for reminding me about that "Christmas Special" where the Ultimate Warrior steals Santa Claus's outfit and puts him in bondage gear for reasons known only to himself.
God I hate the Ultimate Warrior...

Woah, you actually have that comic? I'm in awe of your bravery with collecting such rare items. ;) I used to like the Warrior... Then he ended his run in the WWF and I realized that he's insane.
Oh! I just thought of a comic that I've been wanting to start reading... Anyone ever hear of Warlands? Seems to be set in a fantasy type world (elves, wizards, y'know the routine) and the artwork looks amazing. I don't know if it's worth persuing, however. I know nothing about the plot, and I haven't found any reviews for the series online. :ohwell:
Azraelito
04-15-2003, 07:29 AM
kakakka the ultimate warrior i also hate him.
eheh azure it been a long time how you doing??
Warlands,volume 1:
yeap warlands well for me it was very cool, drawings and the story were pretty nice.
the second volume it sucks because the stroy was very poor and also in number 3 pat lee leaves the comic.then mateo guerrero is the one that substitues him up to number 9 and there they cancelled.
the thir volume is with mateo guerrero at drawings and i dont know who in wiriter i read number 1 and was so so i dont know how it is going now.
the best book of dreamwave is darkminds and i also like echo it was pretty cool the story.

Kevin nash had a comic? :o So wrestlers have comics now?Wow...i would have never thought about that
Did he have any superpowers leo? :blanksta:
Dang they make comics outta everything now...games, wrestlers, toons...but as long as they're good i got nothing to complain about :D
Azraelito
04-15-2003, 07:40 AM
nop they dont have superpowers but the undertaker fights with demons jajajja is pretty cool when he brokes the neck of one jajaja.
i dont know kevin nash but mankind, austin and undertaker nop.

I don't think Nash had any powers exactly in his comic. From what I read of it, he basically just went around picking fights with people, and at one point he got some poontang. Basically, it's what you'd expect if Nash wrote it himself.

I don't think so. If I ever find it, I'll let you know. I sure hope not.
Though it WOULD explain a lot about that comic...

 I see i see...so all he does is basically fight and get chicks. :P
Well at least the art seems to be good
I have no idea if that comic came to argentina, its image so it probably did, but then again the wrestling fan base here is not that big so i dunno.
Was this a mini series?
Leo656
04-15-2003, 08:04 AM
If there's a God... no.
Actually I think an actual ongoing series was proposed, they made a semi-big deal outta this, but I'm pretty sure it stopped after issue 1. At least I never heard about it again.

I think the only comic series I'm interested in looking into is Battle Chasers. Except that it's pretty tough getting backissues, and Joe Maduria barely does anything anymore.
Azraelito
04-15-2003, 03:22 PM
mmmmm battle chasers mmmmm 9 numbers and the story is so so.
now joe mad is woriking ina rpg game.he designs characters and all that stuff because the other proyect that he was working that was dragonkind was cancelled because the company shut down because of economic problems.
