Just curious who likes who.

Vote for your choice and give a reason (if nothing more than for the characters appearance).

For me, it's Man Ray, AKA Ray Fillet. I've always dug "water characters", and the color blue, as well as aquatic life. I think he's rad in appearance, and I like that he's got both brains and muscle, kinda like Leo.

Wingnut comes in second place. He's just friggin' awesome. He's a real dope lookin' headcase.

My favorite would have to be Leatherhead. I really think that the Archie version is the most interesting of all the interpitation of the character. Goes from backwords hunter to intergalactic wrestler to hero.

A close second would be Mondo Geeko but only cause I loved the action figure when I was younger.

Mondo Gecko is easily fave.
I love his design in the Archie series. Plus he skateboards and plays guitar, which is awesome. And he's a lot like Michelangelo.

I never really got into those guys, but I remember I kinda liked the Cheetah like one. Who was he? Haha

There wasn't a Cheetah. You're thinking of Jagwar, son of a human and a south american god of death that took the form of a Jaguar.

My fave Mutanimal. Hmm... tough choice between Slash and Dreadmon. However if the planned Mutanimals animated series had gone thru my fave Mutanimal would then have been Ninjara.

You snapped the 5000's Topic :trazz: My favorite's Merdude.
I admit I don't know well every personnalities of the Mutanimals for now, I just represent my Language since Merdude speaks a bad french-glish :tlol:

I always liked Man Ray & Jagwar.
But shouldn't this be in the comics section?

I dunno about the rest of you guys, but Slash & Merdude aren't really Mutanimals to me. I'm talking the elite team of six here. Wingnut, Man Ray, Dreadmon, Mondo Gecko, Jaguar, & Leatherhead. Not any of their associates.

I always liked Man Ray & Jagwar.

Probably, but most of these characters appeared in the toon as well. Not to mention if I were to post this there I doubt it would get as much attention, thus makin' the thread lack convo.

I think it fits fine here Powder, as you said most appeared in both the toon and the Archie comic so General fits best.

I really liked the whole concept of there being other mutants and them forming a group. It was cool to see others dealing with being different, trying to find their place in a world that finds them different. It was also cool to see different origins for the mutations.

Slash...he died like a hero. I remember crying when I read that issue.

Apparently I need to find more issues so I can find out what all you are talking about dieing. It makes me sad.

I still remember the cover. It has Slash holding a planet. It was near the end of the Archie TMNT run i believe.

Yes. That's the only place they were used. Personally, I thought it would have been awesome if they could have put all of them in one of the versions of Tournament Fighters. ^_^

Wingnut was always my favorite. I always found it amusing how batspit he was. :D My second favorite was a tossup between Manray and Leatherhead.

I loved, loved the Mutanimal comics... I thought all of the characters were very good. I would have to go with Mondo but I feel bad because I liked all of them. Slash was awesome but I'm not sure if he counts.

Hmmm, I really dig that Wingnut fella, he's just so loopy! So he'd come first, then its a tie between Mondo and Man Ray... To be honest though, never really cared for Jagwar nor Dreadmon.

I always wondered why the Punk Frogs, or at least one of them like Napoleon Bonafrog, wasn't part of the Mutanimals.

They were never introduced in the Archieverse.

They were never introduced in the Archieverse.

And that is a crime. I would've loved to have seen the Punk Frogs in the Archieverse.

I think my fav, like many people here, would have to be Man Ray. It was a tough call tho, cause I liked nearly all of them alot as a kid, prob with the exception of Jagwar. I just didn't think he was all that fun.

^If that had a 'Like' button, it woulda got pushed. Also a crime: the non-existence of Casey Jones.

I was thinking this just last night. That way, you wouldn't have had people trying to be smart by naming characters that were obscurely tied to the team.

I realized that not far from after having made the thread, but it was too late. :(

Currently my favorites are Jagwar and Man Ray Fillet.

As a kid, my favorites were Mondo Gecko and Wingnut.

My fave Mutanimal is definitely the cajun gator-man Leatherhead. I love his design, the fact that he's cajun is interesting, he was a wrestler, and I love the occasional wise-cracks out of him (like his response to Mondo Gecko's "reptiles are like this`` speech in MM Issue 4).:tsmile:

Jagwar... or Ninjara if she counts. I know that she was going to be in the cancelled toon, but not sure if that qualifies her as an official Mutanimal.

I'm really not sure. They were all pretty good. I think I'll go with Leatherhead. Jess Harley was such a tortured soul.

Did anyone really like Dreadmon? He seemed to be the most useless memeber of the team and the least interesting, IMO.

Maybe merdude.

But he's a wolf. Wolves are cool.

I'm going with Man-Ray. He had more relating characteristics for me.

Its odd how most of them weren't even mutants:

Man Ray: Mutant
Leatherhead: (I guess you can say he was a mutant, although not really in this version)
Mondo Gecko: Mutant
Wignut/Screwloose: Aliens
Jaguar: Humanoid animal
Dreadmon: Turned into a devil by a talisman

Jagwar: demigod

Man Ray is my favorite by far. He was my favorite toy when I was little too. Also my favorite commission piece to date. Many of you have seen this, but it's Ray fighting Armaggon. Man Ray pencils and inks = Ken Mitchroney, Armaggon and colors = Chris Allan

This was a mail back and fourth between the two of them back in 2005.

I always grew up with him as Ray Fillet, and even as just a little kid who didn't have any comics, I enjoyed him in the "A Fishy Adventure" Random House storybook adventure.

This is difficult because I think of Slash and Leatherhead as villains. I love those two the most of the characters but I like my Leatherhead evil and Slash evil or an anti-hero. Aside form them I always had asoft spot for Mondo Gecko.

Archon,I have seen that Commission of yours some time ago back when I was a lurker. How much did that beauty cost, if I may ask?

In the neighborhood of $500. It's a really big piece.

Leatherhead was my favorite, of course he's my favorite turtles character as well. Nice commission Archon! If I ever got another one it'd be from Chris Allan.

Mondo Gecko's my favourite lad. He's what happens when The Lizard crashes into Tony Hawk at an Extreme concert.

Second would be Jagwar.
