My First building - Channel 6

This is my first project of custom TMNT buildings. I remember that I was a little bit angry about lack of buildings in the TMNT line.

The good guys got their sewer playset..
The bad guys got their technodrome..
.. what about the human guys? Channel 6 team? They got a motorcycle and car, couple of figures.. but no place to live.

After some thinking, I desided to make my own Channel 6 building. A good place to let shredder and turtles fight for April.. and also some TMNT equipment.


- 4 stage with garage and helipad (for turtlecopter or blimp).
- Sewer pipe connection to Technodrome or Sewer set. Possible to connect alle three buildings thru sewer playset.
- Not too big (therefore only 4 rooms)
- Aprils apartment
- Channel 6 entrance
- Burns office
- And a extra rom to fight in.

Only missing some funiture and paint :)
This is not an super extact copy of the building. It is meant to be a playset, therefore helipad and so on.

I have only used wooden plates, in different sizes. :) All textures is made from my computer and laminated and glued at place.

Yeah, I also think a swingdoor is cool. It makes the building more like Channel 6 (that had 3 swingdoors)

Pink floorpaint at Aprils apartment i missing, maybe some darker gray paint on first floor... and possible paint blue windows frame (those on the side of windows)

I really like that you built it as if it was made by Playmates back in the day, rather than trying to be accurate. It really fits the toyline, reminds me a lot of the old Ghostbusters firehouse playset. The connecting tube is a nice touch, April having an apartment in the playset is just like an 80's toy line to be inaccurate (but I love it), and that goes for the helipad too. I really dig the revolving door, that was surprisingly a pretty iconic part of the Channel Six building (there was that one episode, I think Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady where they played a big part throughout the episode).

My only suggestion is instead of painting any details or colors, you use stickers. A lot of playsets and vehicles from the TMNT line used stickers as details. You could make stickers similar to the windows from the Party Wagon for the side of the Channel Six building.

This is completely amazing! I've started work on a new dio building but it's not even close to as great as this is. For starters it's just a plain oblong! This looks like an actual building and has a lot of well thought out play areas, like the balcony bits and the spacious rooms! It's amazing!

So now anyone can connect the sewer to the Channel six news building. This was built by someone who loves the original vintage toys, otherwise we wouldn't be looking at such a nice compliment to the original TMNT cartoon toy line. Now the Channel six news team has somewhere to hang just like the turtles and the foot. I want one of these.
