Im at a point in my life where I dont really know what I wanna do career wise. I am currently in a dead end job, (retail) and find myself hating every bit of it. Been there for 3 years now. I used to love it. Had a bunch of friends, all the managers were cool, but now its all a bunch of A holes that work there. Not the same at all.

The actual work isnt really a big deal to me. Not too hard on my mind or body. Its just the enviorment/people around me make it suck.

So, do you hate your job?

Not hate per se, but people make selling cars a lot harder on their end than what it really is.

I don't exactly have a real job, at least not a steady one. I guess you'd say I do freelance work. Sell a beat here, a design there, an album cover here, some audio mixing there. Etc. I love music & art, and they do get me some dough once in a while, so no. I do not hate my job.

Nope, I have a great job. Making amazing money for a recent college graduate, and I have a wonderful work environment. Going on a ski trip on the company's dime next weekend. :)

I hate my job. But I do what I have to. I'll be finding a (hopefully) better job in April.

i like working at one of my two jobs, the one at the Dollar Store. lots more to do

my other job at a Spa/Resort Hotel is boring as sh*t cause all i do is stand at the door and be a "people greeter". my posistion is called "Bellman" but i'm pretty much the hotel b*tch!

Not anymore, I used to hate my old job, so I applied for my current one, and I don't work there anymore.

My job is kind of sh*tty and I don't make a lot of money, but besides my job I am also interning in an industry that I am passionate about. The fact that I will eventually get out of my job and do what I really want to do makes it less shi*ty, so I'm pretty much indifferent to my job.

This is kind of a job. Since I am a professional swimmer as I have to go to swim meets, marathons, pratice and make my boss pround. However People always say I am doing something wrong when I am swimming and I have to start over again until I get it right. Sometimes being a swimmer sucks

I hate the fact that I'm still making minimum wage after 2 years, but overall I love my job. Moral of the story... never work a State job. Go Federal or private.

Buddy, "professional" means you get paid to do it. What are you, in high school? Junior high?

The last job I had, I wound up hating with my whole heart. I paid the price for what I first thought was a stable job. It was a nightmare getting up in the mornings because I would have to face the monotony of my daily grind. The people were nice and friendly and the pay was decent, which is why I lasted as long as I did (nearly four years), but even that wasn't enough in the end. I started to suffer from stress and burnout.

I didn't think it was possible to feel that way, especially at such a young age (I was under the impression that it would take 10+ years in a stagnant career before that happened), but when it becomes clear that their are no opportunities for advancement, and you are over-worked but your real skills are under-utilized, it's inevitable that depression will set in.

I'm currently unemployed, and while I am looking for work, I know that I'd rather remain unemployed than take another job like that just for a regular paycheck. The money's not worth my sanity.

Not exactly but still it is hard to do because I have almost drowned and I don't like swimming so I don't have a job yet but it is very tiring. Well That's it

I'm in retail, selling carpets for a living. Although I don't hate it, I don't particularly like it. Its boring. When we're busy its okay, i'm on commission, and the money is pretty decent so its not all bad. Before I got into retail I worked in a hotel, as a porter and barman. Best job I ever had, I must say! I was there for seven years, the only reason I left was because it was minimum wage and even working six days a week, I couldn't afford to live anymore!

Doesn't everbuddy? O_o

My job is to stay home all day and avoid Final Destination. It sucks pretty bad. I already papercut the crap outta my eye bad enough that I needed corrective surgery just to be able to wake up in the morning w/o feeling like my eye was going up in flames.

You're all lucky you have a job to hate. I don't even know what that is like. I however did do volunteer work at a church on Saturday mornings before doing side jobs for my mother and step father's private contracting business doing paint/prime work. The pay was good ($10/hr.), but the conditions were in different climates. One was back in the past summer where I had to paint/prime an attic that's converted into a bedroom, and with no AC, that room got to nearly 120 degrees. With the economy hitting the construction industry so badly, it's time for a career change, and I chose a customer-oriented job (hopefully Best Buy). I have an interest in consumer electronics, and since I haven't done a retail job before, I've done my research on how to satisfy a customer and on a variety of produts, and it doesn't seem like such a bad thing to get into. Plus I found a site a few days ago called Glassdoor, and it has the exact interview questions of specific places, and a review from the person who was interviews with an indication if he got the job offer or not. It's a good way to better prepare yourself for an interview if one were to show up, because you have an understanding to will possibly show up.

So if job hunting every day is a considered a "job" then yes I freaking hate it. And I hate having to take a personality test just to get my application to the other when I rather fill out a paper application (which I was taught in high school) and hand it in person with a short presentation of myself. I mourn for the good old paper application days and the end of online personality tests.

I haven't been happy with my job for a while. The bosses are flat out nasty and no matter how hard I work, I never get a "Thank you." or a "Good job." All I get is barked at.

Just a few weeks ago I got suspended for loosing my temper and they want me to take counseling, which I'm doing, but at the moment I really don't feel like going back to that job. I'd rather go back to working in fast food.

I love my job! I work at one of the big banks processing applications for travel cards, which involves a TON of typing and zero customer contact. I can listen to music on my iPod all day and it's great! I also test one of our programs one Sunday a month, and that's really fun.

I did my time in the customer "slavery" industry and I was miserable, so I see this awesome job as my reward for putting up with abusive customers for 10 years of my life.
