Scumbugs an original sculpt over an ald SMC daredevil figure. One of the things i kinda tweeked on him was making him more segmented. on the original toy only his legs were segmented, but i worked it over the rest of the body. Plus theres a picture of scumbug from the old unused might mutanimals pilot that was segmented looking as well so it has some basis.

I added his antenna since i took the wip shot, I'm kinda proud of those. Initially i was gonna use some spare gi joe tubing. but at the last minute i came up with a really good idea. Basically you take the the rope things they use to tie down figures now. sculpted apoxie over it. let it cure a bit, then i cut segments into it, so its actually flexible now, and isn't super easy to break. so it works good if you want to make bendable tubing.

I also gave him the spray gun from the old acid blast joker. I thought it worked perfect for scumbugs gear. I also painted parts neon green like the original toy was, i thought it would work good in this case, since it's full of poison. I originally wanted to write "turtlecide" [like pesticide] but i chicked out. I'm not very good at doing lettering

Finally Traag's got his buddy. He was feeling kinda loneley...

Granitor's an original sculpt over my SMC Juggernaut figure, while i felt he was way to shrimpy to be juggernaut, i felt he made the perfect granitor. Because I wanted him tall and leaner compared to traag being short and squat. Plus the hasticulation worked well for granitors elbows. the one thing that was a hassle was his shoulders. the way they are is really hard to give articulatiion too, beyond the basic up down non ball joint shoulder.

In this case I pretty much almost entirley based him on the arcade version, his paint job obviously, but the sculpt is based more on the sprite.

I also gave him his panted flame thrower he had in the game. because I'm obsessed with the old konami TMNT games. They were always my favorite aspect of tmnt.

Krangs an original sculpt you can see him snuc in with the granitor wip. He's very simple and basic. I just wanted to have a quicky krang in my collection till I finish the android body krang.

I sprayed him with gloss sealer cause i wanted him to look slimy and glossy. i based his color scheme more on the krang toy, thats where the yellow eyes came from, cause he has purple eyes in the cartoon.

I'm a bit annoyed because i left off his chin tenticles and i didnt mean too, but i forgot about them till i had just about finished painting him. oh well...

The Tubular Transports from the old TMNT arcade Game as I said before I LOVE the old konami games, and as kid it bugged me to no end that they never made toys of all the super toyetic things in the konami games. Like how cool would it have been to have gotten one of these packed with TMNT toy instead of some of the random pointless things they did pack in.

But at anyrate I did not take a wip picture, but this is pretty much an original sculpt, with some styrene tubes. The legs were made with the wires they tie toys down, The helicopter blade is from the Gi Joe Trakker figure. The stand I'm using is the mattel flying stand they use on various figures.......

Scumbug is NUTS! I love especially his pack, such detail! Granitor... wow. Just amazing. I would love to commission you one day.
I don't recall if anyone asked earlier in the thread, but would you take any?

PS the transport is stellar.

Awesome work all around!

Scumbug looks great--I really dig the head, he looks kee-razy!

Granitor is a bit on the dark side, but he still looks cool--the deeper hue lends him a more realistic air I think.

First Tubular Transport custom I've ever seen, and you did an awesome job on it. It's too bad you didn't make a swarm of 'em, but I know how much of a pain it can be to make multiples of the same thing, unless you do casting from a mold.

Krang looks nice too, but I'd give him some pupils.

Some of the best work Ive seen on here. I love original sculpts and you not only captured their likenesses but nailed the paint jobs. All your work I've seen has been very impressive and these pieces also match your continued quality of work. Keep these coming. Im really looking forward to your custom collection growing and it also inspires me to get back to work on my own!

Oh man, Scumbug looks awesome! I just picked up his original figure for customizing, and the sculpt on that toy is pretty great; I like that your custom hits every major point of the original toy, and you even added some extra paint details to yours that Playmates neglected on theirs.

Granitor is pretty solid, too. I like him way more than your General Traag; He may be my favorite of your custom TMNT figures.

Keep up the great work, RayH!

I've never really done commisions, but i wouldn't say I would never do them if i was hit over the head with the right amount of cash. Actually now that I'm thinking about it the only commisions I've done were for Toyfare magazine.

And yes I'm working on shredder, but He is like just maybe the biggest pain in the ass custom I've ever made. because of the damn blades, he's taking a very long time.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
