Most cartoons these days usually last 50 or 60 plus episodes.

Not really. I grew up with the original 80's cartoon, which was almost 200 episodes. It's hard for me to imagine a TMNT cartoon with a short amount of episodes.

Considering how much everyone that worked behind the scenes of the show loved and and rallied for it, not at all.
While the end of the line for any product is money, there was also a lot of love that went behind this production and I think that was part of the reason it held on extra long. :tsmile:

yea i agree with reira there was alot of love that went into the series in the start. Peter did with it as he pleased, and i was blown away when i first saw it Feb 8, 2003 at 10:30am on the foxbox.
Deja-vu... Wasn't there an almost identical thread topic a year ago?
Frankly, I'm surprised there weren't more eps, but I'm glad there weren't. The excess would've been even more watered-down than BttS was.

Any TMNT show that doesn't last 150 episodes at least is a failure in my eyes.

There are 158 episodes in the 2003 series, counting Turtles Forever and the one-time-airing only Mayhem from Mutant Island episode.
Had the second Fast Forward season aired, and Nightmares Recycled hadn't been blocked, there would have been 169 episodes.
On topic - I actually do think it a little surprising that the show lasted this long, but the effort put into the show makes the idea of it lasting seven years more realistic.

You missed one somewhere.
