So...does it make any sense, when you look at it closely?
I mean, the hologram Mikey would act just like Mikey normally would, so how would he help Shred...er...You Know Who destroy the Turtles? Especially since when You Know Who is Michelangelo, he isn't Mikey trying to destroy the others, but just Mikey.
And aside from that, there's one glaring piece of info that they'd not have...the location of the lair. If Shredder did have that, he could just invade the lair.
And why doesn't he notice he looks like Shredder...Shredder...Shredder...Shredder, or that there are some how 2 hims?
Also...Pat Fraley is missing...:( Townsend is great, but he's no Pat when it comes to Krang.

Nope...*hick* 'Scuse me. I just never thought about this episode until now...it's fun and still one of my favorites, but there are huge plot holes...when you think about it, too much.
A lot of the old toon eps are like that. they made no sense with Shredder and Krangs plans but thats what made them fun to watch.

This is a very good point I never thought of that

Ah but the location of the lair was known by the hologram Mike...how else would Shredder-Mike have gotten there?

I never thought about this before. The only thing I wondered about was why Shredder as Mikey didn't notice that he was bigger than the others or that there was another Michaelangelo. Ah but the location of the lair was known by the hologram Mike...how else would Shredder-Mike have gotten there? But how would Krang and Shredder have gotten that information to put into the program for Hologram Mikey to even know that?

Exactly. Shredder and Krang would have to know for the hologram, and later Shredder-angelo to know.

That's still funny, thinking about it. The whole series could've ended right then and there.

"I hunga for cowabunga!" Dude, this ep is definitely one of the best eps in the sense that it was just so silly! C'mon, James Avery talking like a stoned surfer? Priceless! Classic!
Edit: Oh yeah, something else that didn't make sense about part of this ep. Why in the world didn't Shredder just put the disk in himself? How come he couldn't see that Bebop was putting it in wrong when Rocksteady noticed it? Shredder was right there. ><
Oh, and something else I forgot to mention that I actually did notice, how come Shredder-angelo never realized he was wearing Shredder's mask or...close in general for that matter. It's not like that ep where Raph's mind was switched with that cab driver's. When looked in the mirror, he saw himself as Raphael. With Shredderangelo...definitely not the same...

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love this episode, it's very fun, I just really noticed the plot holes. Like why did Shredder have the disk put in by Rocksteady, explain the plot, remove the disk, and then have Bebop put it right back in...which he does, backwards.

Wasn't there two discs, one with the hologram and one with the information or am I out swimming in the ocean?
Jester

Nope...just one disk.

Shredder's PC had a bizarre DOS system back in the day. When Shredder complained to Krang how stupid that was, Krang told him to shut up.:twink:

perhaps S & K got the personality of Mike from "scanning" him somehow before the episode's events, similar to how metalhead was made with all the Turtles' personalities. That way the knowledge of the lair would be there.

If I remember, the hologram machine was able to create an entity that "thinks like Michealangelo." Thus, it wasn't so much an issue of the computer creating a hologram that already had prior knowledge of the lair's location. Rather, the hologram was able to perfectly replicate the way Mikey would think and thus simply found his way to the lair using the same thought process Michelangelo would have used.
Then there's the question as to why Shredder & Krang never put 2 & 2 together to just start creating turtle holograms that would discover the lair. Well... no one every said those villains were especially competent in the areas of common sense, right?:trolleye:
Seriously, that's the best "Marvel No Prize" reconciliation I've got.
