When i was young, i like hanging out with ppl older than me coz they make me feel matrue. Then as i get older, I like hooking up with ppl younger than me for they make me feel younger. Now i just go with ppl around my age alright. What abt u?

the social group I have is a mixed bag
I don't have a preference really, but most of my local friends are two years younger than me.

I've always socialized more and had more in common with my elders than my peers.

I don't think I have a preference. I hang out with friends my age or younger (but not too much younger, if we're talking kids and teenagers) when doing things like going to the movie or hanging out at a bar/lounge. I also volunteer in pet adoptions on the weekends and everyone there is either a little bit or much older than me. All I care about is that I'm not in the company of insufferable pricks.

Both ends of the Spectrum. One of my closest friends is a 19 year old girl. Another one is a 38 year old man.

I am NOT that old. :x

I tend to have a lot of older friends. Most of the people my age that I know are a bunch of drug-addicted alcoholics.

I'm not even sure if owls are as intelligent as portrayed in movies, but the notion came about because of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, had the symbol of an owl.

I'm 31, my best female friend is 28, and one of my friends who used to volunteer with me is 39. I like to think of her as the big sister I never had. There was also another one who I think of like that, but I'm not sure how old she is. Another one of them was someone who I liked to think of as a second mother, and there's another who I like to think of as somewhat of an aunt.
There was a girl I used to chat with who was ten years younger than me, but I thought of her as a little sister.

I help run a youth group and I consider some of those kids friends (granted not all but some, which are about 13-16) but at the same time I have quite a few older friends as well that I can hang out with and watch a b-ball game or whatever. But the people I hang out with most are my age, 19-23 year olds.

A majority of my friends are my age, 23/24. My youngest friend is 21 and my oldest friend is 30.
I like a mix of both in my life

My best friends are all a little younger and they're a racial grab bag. They're also all complete losers who either do nothing or pretend to do things like go to school or work, when they're really just out buying sh*tty movies and/or wrestling with underage boys.
I love them.
I kind of lost all of my friends. They all still go to school, and the ones who graduated kind of lost touch with everyone.

I hang out with mostly older people. Sometimes people my own age, like my best friend. We're all immature though so age is almost irrelevant.

I tend to prefer befriending people younger than me, though occasionally I'll hang out with older people.

During my teen years, I felt more comfortable around the older generation. Past the high school years, I mean. But when I got older, I began enjoying the younger, but by only 2 or 3 years back. All in all I have a level of comfort around both types.
Here's the part I found funny about my sister and old people. She doesn't like old people (or any people). She says they smell like dead people.

That's not funny. That's just hating on an age group based on some stupid stereotype.

Oh, take a chill pill and chill out. It's not what it sounded like. You had to be there when my sister told us that, it's funnier than what I made it sound like.

When I was in college, I hung out with some who were older than me and some who were a bit younger. We all had fun, so it didn't matter to me. My friend Dennis was older, but we had a lot of fun talking about wrestling and stuff like that.
