Did you loose your job? Do work a job you can't stand? Or are you looking for a career change? Well I found some excellent help.
Last week when I was looking around for specific interview questions that different companies will throw at you that you are unprepared for. This is so I can be better prepared to answer those tough "gotcha" questions that kill your chances of landing a job. So if you're having a hard time looking for a job or to get a new but better job, go to this link for well needed help: www.glassdoor.com.
You can search for just about any company out there; Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, Jewel-Osco, Amazon.com, eBay, KMart, GameStop, Sears, McDonalds, and so on. People list down a detailed review of their interview experience, some jot down a specific question that was asked to them, some give a good answer the the specific question. It also indicates if that reviewer got the job or not, or got an offer but declined with a reason. It even includes any pay negotiable details. The interview questions aren't just for minimal wage, entry level jobs, but they even have them up to the corporate levels and for degree-required jobs.
Critics could call it cheating, but I call it being prepared in advance. My very long experience with job interviewing I learned you have to be prepared and rehearse yourself, and Glassdoor is the best tool in my opinion. Besides looking at the answers to those questions, I also learn something about different jobs and industries I never knew before. So it's also a learning experience.
I did submit my own review for the Best Buy section of that site. I didn't get the job. And I know why, and I'm going through the proper procedures to do something about it. You know you don't roll over and die in dissapointment and discouragement because you didn't get the job; it's the time to reanalyse what you did that coasted you the job and figure out how you can improve yourself. Again, this Glassdoor website is perfect for understanding what you can do to better yourself for the next time around.
