It will be a new character i am sure of it. Hun and Khan were new characters in the 2k3 show. So there will be a new character.

Karai is a must-have character in the show but not as the Shredder's second in command. More like his replacement at first then... well, we'll see.

Though I always did find Hun to be the perfect subordinate to the Shredder or really Bebop and Rocksteady if they were written in a more menacing way like Hun was.

I had to vote Hun. He just works so well as a lacky. Though I wouldn't mind seeing them adapt Tristans backstory for the character and set him up as a rival to the Shredder either.

The character belongs to Golden Harvest.

I know he's appeared in two video games but I assume that Konami either paid for it or got permission considering what was good for one part of the franchise is good for the other or maybe his appearance in the those games was so small that they didn't know or care. Whatever it was the character wasn't owned by Mirage so is not owned by Nick.

Nope. I've remember it on here ages ago in the movie forum, can't exactltly who but I remember it was from fans who know what they're talking about. I believe their source was someone like Dan Berger. It makes sense seeing as he wasn't created by Peter and Kevin and was made specificaly for the movies.

....It be cool....Just That means Shredder will not to make mistakes ... the Second in command is usually who commits errors for our hero turtles can save the day....! Shredder making mistakes can be one or two.., jus IMO the constant mistakes makes him less scary .... less important as enemy..

Anyway I feel a tipical nice second in command will be like Hun/Tatsu...they are both so similar for me...So Im hesitating the vote ...

So I actually have been thinking about this. I mean the idea of a second in command type of thing is always nice to have. After all think about it this way, if the Shredder is the big bad guy then why would he want to get his hands dirty when he can have a toady do it. I want him to be inline with the Emperor. When he does finaly have to fight its epic.

Saying that however it really does make one consider who would fill that space the best. My knee jerk reaction was Hun. Simply for the fact that Bebop and Rocksteady bothered me in the FW show. On futher thought though I think it would be fitting for him to make mutants of his own to fight the TMNT. Maybe whoever it is will start out human and then be mutated. I think that is what I would like to see.

IDK maybe have the Elite. I wouldn't want anyone from 2K3, as it should not resemble that show entirely. Krang should be seperate from Shredder if he is to be included, I think that'd be cool.

In all honesty (and this is just my own opinion, of course), I've had enough of Karai being subservient to the Shredder. I like how in the comics, she actually outranked him, and in Tournament Fighters, she was made out to be some unstoppable force. That's the Karai I'd like to see appear in the Nick cartoon.

To me the best position for new characters in any TMNT incarnation is definately Shredder's assistants, as the general public would always expect Shredder, but don't know what he'll do to complete his mission. Therefore, I could clearly see multiple right-hand men throughout the series, perhaps having a new one every season for variety (unless if fans support a particular one such as Krang). In the OT, people definitely enjoyed both "villian of the week" along with recurring villians, and that balance could work well again. I would prefer a Utrom-based villain though, with of course the purple-dragon inspired henchmen (it doesn't matter if their mutant or not). That's always the formula for Shredder's clan.

Basically the hiearchy of the Foot Clan is:
