Does anyone want Krang to be an utrom in the nickelodeon cartoon or a dismember head that look like a brain in the Fred Wolf cartoon.

I'd prefer not seeing Krang in a new show.

But if he'd appear I'd like him to be a banished warlord that got stripped from his body, posing as a Utrom and as a benefitor of mankind. But he got horrible plans for the planet

dun, dun, duuuuu~

So kinda a combination of Krang and Dregg?

Or Krang and Utrom Shredder (to an extent)...:P

I'd be ok with him being an evil utrom, it solves the problem of why is there this Utrom like character that isn't an utrom. Besides that I think I might prefer him not being one or him being a deformed Utrom to stay closer to his original character design. I'd also kinda like to see Ch'rell, not as shredder just a rogue Utrom.

He should be an utrom but look like he did in the old show.

TobTurn

I vote for utrom. Makes much more sense if we look at the previous incarnations, but then again, this is a whole new thing so they can do whatever they want.

As for Ch'rell being in the new show and not being the Shredder: wouldn't really like that. Ch'rell as The Shredder or no Ch'rell at all.
I hope they'll do another cross-over movie/special, but I would really dislike it if the Nick-Shredder is the main villain and Ch'rell is there also, but gets defeaten by the Nick-Shredder. Would be kinda impossible though, as Ch'rell ís The Shredder and no-one else.. So, just Ch'rell as the main villain/Shredder or no Ch'rell.

He is the One True Shredder, so him being in the new show as non-Shredder would make me upset. But that's just how I feel about it :P

Turo602

Maybe he could be an evil utrom because he's ugly and deformed. You know, Ch'rell with a twist.

I once thought of Krang using Shredder as his new body when he dies or something. But I'm sure many people are already sick of Utrom Shredder.

No, the ORIGINAL Shredder would be Mirage-Shredder, although Ch'rell could crush him.
I still see Ch'rell as the One True Shredder, in comparison to all other Shredders. Even if he's not the original, he's the one who REALLY deserves the name.

Ch'rell was nothing more than a shriveled up alien chewing gum hiding in a metal shell. He never should have been thought up and Tengu Shredder would crush him. Shredder should still be human though, And YES put Krang in and make him an utrom.

Ch'rell was an alien warlord who killed millions of people and let planets suffer, creator ánd destroyer of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. As seen is Same as it Never Was and Turtles Forever, he could easily defeat the Tengu Shredder and he almost destroyed all existence while the Tengu could only transform Earth.
He was the biggest threat to TMNT in general than any other thing ever was.

But that's not what this topic's about, we know each other's opinion now.

Well since I can talk about it now.
At this point in the show (keep in mind things are not final) the Krang an evil alien race come to earth to try to take over the human race.
They have a giant building sort of like the utroms tcri building in the comics.
They have a mutation room that hey mutate the humans they abduct in.
At some point Shredder joins forces with them and trains them as the foot soldiers.
I'm going to asume this is how we get the robotic foot.

Ugh, I'm not keen on the idea of the Kraaang. It sounds like a cheap cop out for the OT fans who asked "Why are there a bunch of Krangs" when the Utroms appeared in 2K3. If they want to keep the name as a moniker, hell, make the Kraaang a renegade group of Utrom scientists.

As a fan of everything TMNT, I really didn't want Krang or Utroms in the new show. We already got them in two very different incarnations of TMNT. I wanted something new and merging the two together to create a new character of species fills that appetite just fine. The Kraangs sound vicious and will serve as a great plot device for the new series.

I totally agree with you, Powder and Kiwamu The Kappa, Icegaze. I got enough of Krang in the OT and "Turtles Forever" to the point that the Kraangs that will be in the new series are good enough.

Krang should be an Utrom (Finally I got this correct), but is a runaway from Dimension X, hunted down by the good Utroms. My idea is for him to be a mix of Shredder meets Stockman. Have a brain of a scientist with the ability to build and train an army of evil Utroms. That would be interesting.

We're already getting The Kraang so I doubt there'll be a dedicated character called Krang.

I want him to be exactly the same he was in he original toon. I dont want sonething different. He must be in the same robotic body with the red pants he was in the ot toon and also he must be a alien head not a utrom!

Then go watch the OT. There is zero reason to have something exactly the same in every way.

A Krang-esque character would definitely be cool, but I'm more interested in seeing the new directions the Nickelodeon series go in. I'd rather not have the Nike series copy what the previous two series have done.

I think the occasional reference to the two other series is fine (e.g. in the 2k3 series when one Utrom complains about hating to walk on his tentacles and the other Utrom responding "Oh shut up Krang!") but I think this is a chance to do something cool, but different.

He's not going to be in the new series, rather he and the Oots are being amalgamated into a species of hostile aliens called the Kraang. They will also come to pilot robotic Foot soldier suits, similar to the robotic Foot soldiers in the old toon.

I wonder if how some like me feel about the Kraang is what the dromers felt when they realized no Krang/rocksteady/beebop/black stockman/utrom shredder in 2k3. If you browse the first threads on the forum you can see all the people raging over those details, I wonder if when this show is halfway through its run if the early posts will seem as silly as those early ones in the 2k3 forum.

Honestly, I like the idea of him being an Utrom, but why is his appearance the basis for the other option? I see no reason why he can't both be an Utrom AND look like how he did in the MWS cartoon. Afterall, Krang's appearance in that cartoon is almost exactly what all the Utroms looked like in Volume 1 of the Mirage comics.

Hmmm, given that I think that Ch'rell, the Utrom Shredder was created by the 4Kids Production team (and thusly 4Kids Entertainment), I'm PRETTY sure that 4kids would still own the rights to that version of him, so Nick wouldn't use him even if they wanted to. Which they probably don't.

And while I don't really LIKE the Shredder, I'd MUCH prefer he be human, like he has been in all the comics, the Classic Toon and all of the movies that have been made thus far. But that's just me.:twink:

Same opinion here, Bauer.

And while I didn't like the Utrom Shredder thing, either, like I said above, it was tolerable to me, for as long as the 2K3 series lasted. The version of Ol' Tin-grin that I personally didn't like was the Cyber-Shredder from Back to the Sewer. I mean, I KNOW he was an Utrom, and could pretty well imiate Utrom tech using what he had available to him here on Earth, but being able to use it to make a digial copy of himself was a little bit far-fetched to me...even for a TV series about 4 mutant Turtles and a mutant rat who are ninjas.:twink:
