I work for a bank and I get to see companies that are filing for bankruptcy and sadly tonight 4Kids was one of the letters I got.

Yikes...seems everybody's going bankrupt. I wonder if they'll sell off any more of their properties.

Sadly, I'm not surprised. All 4Kids shows now is, with exception Sonic X, TV anime adaptations of trading card games. I wouldn't want to watch that.

I thought 4Kids were giving up doing cartoons altogether? Or did i read it wrong somewhere else?

It's sad though, i mean FoxBox/4Kids have produced some of the greatest shows in history. Power Rangers, X-Men, Spider-Man, TMNT..., but its too hard to compete with Cartoon Network, Nick, and Disney. Cartoons have expanded beyond belief, its so hard to keep up with how many cartoon shows are out there today.

Kind of old news, I mentioned it about a few weeks back on another thread, lets remember that Chapter 11 is different from Chapter 7 so they aren't bankrupt yet. Anyways its definitely good that Nick got the turtles back from 4Kids since its obvious they were not going to do anything with them even if they would have wanted to.

They were getting out of creating new shows. They were still doing dubs though.
Power Rangers, X-Men, Spider-Man, TMNT
:blanksta: No. "FoxBox/4Kids" launched in 2002, and TMNT was pretty much their flagship property. 'Fox Kids' was associated with those others you listed (though they didn't exactly produce 'em themselves).

Yup, Fox Kids, was basically the same thing as Fox Box. Same company different name right?

Nope. Here's Fox Kids (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_Kids), and here's FoxBox/4Kids (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FoxBox).

Good thing Nick owns the 2K3 series now. Still a hope of some proper DVDs. Sad either way but they gave us a good gift before they left, Turtles Forever.

That was the DVD release though, and only in the states. The full version was shown at Comicon and on the 4Kids website for a long time. Plus it's on DVD in the UK now. Can't hold any of that against 4Kids, Nick on the other hand...

Fox Kids is Saban, so all your memories from the 90s on Fox Kids are thanks to Saban. When Saban sold his assets on Saturday Morning that is when 4Kids took it over and it became the Fox Box, when plenty of Fox stations did not want to pick up the block it was then changed into 4Kids TV since it made no sense to have "fox" in the title. 4Kids later took over KidsWB! when the WB channel merged with UPN and it became TheCW4kids competing against 4KidsTV yeah...

I know what you mean, I was sad when Borders closed. As an anime fan, I dont know if I should be happy or sad about this news. Like most anime fans, I hate 4kids anime dubs
