This isn't really artwork, so it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else.

I've been working on a Turtles Forever graphic novel for a while now. Here's the first fifty pages:

I think, for future parts, I'll be releasing them in small bits, like fifteen page parts. If I do anything beyond that, the program starts freezing up.

Right now, the plan is to do the uncut version, and to make it as detailed as possible. Maybe when I'm done, if I find some .pdf editor, I'll string all the parts together with some bonus stuff at the end.

You may notice the terrible quality of the images, but don't worry - I've found a higher-quality source to use.

Constructive criticism welcome.

It'd definitely be a lot better with higher quality images, but I like the direction & see that you'll soon fix it.
It's really more of an "ani-manga" than a graphic novel, though. 2k3 had a lot of screen cap based books, that's what they called 'em.
Also, I'd say fan-works section would've been appropriate but I dunno, maybe this works too.

It's not artwork, really - just screen grabs with captions and word bubbles.

Yeah, dude, when I read this thread title I was astounded that a fan was gonna try to redraw the whole movie! But.. I guess you just wanted to go for screen shots ala the cine-manga style. Well, I guess that's still cool, as long as you use some better screencaps and find some more exciting fonts to use.

I'm actually messing around with a "Turtles Forever: Epilogue" page that tries to wrap up some unresolved plot threads.

Might not be the most creative of artworks, but it's still artwork. :)

What font would you suggest?

What font would you suggest?

Consult Cryomancer's edition of Mark Pellegrini's TMNT manga translation for ideas:

You could probably contact him to find out which fonts he uses. He uses the free "Ninja Turtles" font at times that can be downloaded off the net.

I don't wanna look like a hair-splitting dick or nothin' but it's called the fan *works* section, not fan *art*.
You put work into this obviously & it's to an extent yours, so yeah. Fan work! :)

Also, as for a font I'd suggest this one- http://www.dafont.com/comic-book.font

That font works well, Powder - I think I'll be using it from now on, and go back later on and change the font in the Part 1.

I like the Witzworx font... I used it in the fan recreation comic...

I like what you are doing, if you switch out with HQ shots it will really add to it... When this is complete I'd really like to host it up on my site...

Sure, feel free to put this up on your site!

In the very link you quoted. In the comic word bubbles...

Oh, I see now. It looks like he's askin' ten bucks for that, though... I think for now I'll stick to the comic book font you suggested, Powder.

I'm thinking I'll just use the Comic Book font; Witzworx doesn't work too well with the images.

Progress is going well, but what does '87 Shredder say right after, "Blasted machine!"
