I just got Accepted!

So I am so excited. With everything that has happened in the last little while I was really getting down. But today I finished trying to get into Steven-Henager College and I got Accepted. So excited. I'll be going for Graphic Arts. I start the 23rd of this month. Just wanted to share with my fellow Dormers since you guys have been there for me through good and bad.

Of course there is a down side. Since I just moved here I'm still looking for work and short on funds. I'm debating very hard on selling some of my turtle stuff. I don't want to but I do need money for school stuff. I'm thinking of trimming back to just comics for my collection.

Other then that though can't express how excited I am. For my program I get a Mac book and all the editing programs as part of my tuition. I'm ready to start today!

It's such a great feeling when you get accepted into a course you are keen on.
Had the same feeling when I got accepted into the Bachelor of primary education.

Thanks guys. It's been a long road getting here but it has been worth it. I think I had a little more growing up to do before I was truly ready. I'm going to school for me now, pursuing something that I enjoy. Now I'll actually have the tools and knowledge to do the things that have made me so jealous.

So I've been thinking long and hard about the stuff I have hear at the moment. And I really do need money for school since finding a jb is proving harder then I thought. I love my figures that I have displayed but I don't really need them.

Right now that display isn't very big, so it is something i can replace later once I'm done with school and have the exra money. I just don't know how much to ask for it. It is the four NECA TMNT with their weapons(they came from the tube version), April, and the shiny Fugitiod(with signed box).

Thought I'd ask in here what you guys think I should list them for one ebay, or if someone here might want them and give me a fair price.

If there's any advice I can give you about college, it's this: Don't be too serious about it. Of course grades are important, but if you don't discover yourself and have some form of personal growth, then it'll be all a waste. No company wants to hire a socially awkward person.

I've been to community college before and then a trade school. Just never really found my nitch. Thanks for the advice Ai. Being sociable isn't a problem for me, I get in trouble cause I'm to sociable lol. I need to work on balancing things. I droped out of college before because I wanted to have to much fun.

I would try calling or emailing someone today. If orientation is tomorrow I'm sure someone is at the school late today. Plus you don't wanna miss orientation cause "you didn't get the email". Oh yeah also check your spam folder of your email, just in case.

I actually didn't even go to orientation. If you've been to college before, you know what they're going to say, anyway. So if you miss it, you won't be left out entirely.

When I enrolled and meet with the Acceptance Counciler they said it would be at 5:30 on the 19th. I was just more wanting the letter for scrap book purposes honestly. Well that and to confirm what I had been told.

Double check anyway. Even if you've been to college before, it'd be nice to go to orientation, so you know the layout and what's going to happen. Best to be prepared.

So where I'm from it's Sunday at 3:50 am and I'm awake. This is bad as school starts for me tomorrow. I don't know if it is nerves, excitment, a combo of thw two, or what but I'm awake. I'm going to try and sleep some more. I realy hope I can fall back to sleep and not just lay there.

Today is the first day of class. So excited. Plus after school it looks like I might have a date. Double win. Today is going to be awesome I just now it. Ever since i've started to get my life together things just seem to be coming together much smoother. I'll let you guys know how school goes when I get home.

Congratulations!! Going back to college is a big step. I did it, after a break. I believe that sometimes people need a 'break' to fully realize what they want to do with their lives and who they are.

Totally screwed up on posting. Sorry. I clicked to start a new thread so not sure why it post what it did here.

Anyway school is going good so far. Getting an A out of the class so it's cool. Just need to keep it up. Being in a school with an accelerated program has taught me that you have to stay on top of assignments.
