LOL, clever

Mars, I sure hope we don't have one of those again, they get boring after the yankees win the first game because you know they will continue to win the whole series and is no fun to watch...but I think Yankees will win this year regardless who they play, they have an all-star team this year. :)

Yeah, must be nice to be the Yankees. Must be nice to buy Championship after Championship. It's easy to do that when your talent budget is like 20x bigger than any other team's.

Yea, they get money from the fans and merchandise...why? Because of their talent.. But there is a luxury tax now in effect anyway, so every team has the same salary limitation... Besides a lot of their good players mostly come from farm teams...not traded or bought..

YANKEES RULE!

And they stole my favorite player from the A's.. so I jumped ship and joined the yankee band wagon!!

Actually a lot of "casual" fans buy their merchandise too, because a lot of "casual" fans are front-runners. I've spent my whole life in NJ-NY, and I can't count how many people I know have all kinds of Yankees shirts and hats and watch maybe three games all year. They just cheer for the Yankees because "they always win".

It's kinda like the Bulls back when Jordan was there and how everyone on Earth was a Bull's fan because Jordan was there and therefore they always won. Now there's like, what, 3 Bulls fans? Total?

I'm not saying that's everyone, not by far, it just annoys me that a lot of sports fans are front-runners.

Not I, though, I'm honest. I barely pay attention to sports, and when I do, I root for the Mets. You need heart to be a Met's fan, because nothing's ever guaranteed. Every single game counts, every win and loss means something, and if and WHEN they win again, it'll have a helluva lot of meaning to it because it took them so damn long.

When in doubt, I root for the drama. That's the only thing in sports that really matters, anyway. It is entertainment, after all.

Well, that could be true, but I am an actual Yankee fan, I can actually name all of the Yankees on this current team and on previous teams, and most of the earlier ones...which a person who roots blindly will be like who? oh well, at least they win again...

I also like them, because they provide drama in every game, you never know if they will win or not, but even if they are losing 12-1 there is always that chance which makes me watch the whole game... :)

Yeah, i hate front-runners. I like the live and die by your team fans. Not the looks like the angels won the series last year, i guess it's time to get a new baseball cap morons.

Lol, I was an A's fan scince I was young lately I haven't been following too much, But I have to say I do like the Yankees, not because they win but I like em...

Same here, people who do that should not deserve to watch the sport...

Yeah I wasn't saying you Tokka, I know plenty of actual Yankee fans. I just also know a lot of front-runners.

However, Yankee-hatred is my family's one and only tradition, and the only thing my father ever gave me, so I feel compelled to continue that tradition.

Well not so much yankee-hater gene. My dad loved some yankee players back in the day. I guess it's more of the steinbrenner-hater gene.

Well, I hate steinbrenner as well...Teams I hate include the RedSox, Angels, Diamondbacks, Braves, and I used to hate the Indians but now it is kinda cool with them....
