View Full Version : Horrible TMNT Toy experiences.

Anyone have any? I have quite a few.

1st- I had the turtle blimp when I was younger, and made well not to pop it (I had a habit of chewing on toys). My cousin came over one time and while I was getting cookies he peed on the blimp...PEED! I dunno if he was marking MY territory, or what, but mom popped it with a steak knife and threw it out.

2nd- First TMNT toy I ever got was Mondo Gecko. I was playing with him and my Batman movie toy with the belt that could be used as a grapple hook. It was like a chain reaction. I hooked the belt onto the side of a chair, and made Mondo snag onto Batty's arm. Our family cat, Mitchel, decided Batman looked like a fun whip toy. He jumped over me, I rolled, he snagged the tiny string between batman and his belt buckle, whipped it off the couch, and hauled ass down the hallway, which was hard wood floored. Batman's belt was snagged on his nail and he went nuts, Mondo Gecko still hanging on, I ran after them, and slipped (Was running in socks on a hard wood floor...). Cat stopped, Mondo flipped off Batman's arm and slammed into the wall or something, I got him back without his tail. Mom decided it was broken, threw him away too.

I hope I'm not the only one with weird toy stories...

your mom sounds like mine!

number one: I had about 10 figures with me at the park one day in a backpack. Being the idoit 6 year old that I was I left them by the slide with the bag open. I came back after getting some food (we had a picknic) to find that the bag and the toys had been swiped.

My second one is when my mom decided to give away ALL of my toys to goodwill. I had all of the Power Ranger zords up untill the "in space" things, and I had a set of the Mutations toys, the technodrome, the van, the blimp...

Heh, my mom rocks, she doesn't throw away anything. :D Go ahead, be jealous now  .

Anyway, the only bad toy experiences I ever have are either losing a weapon/acessory, or breaking the toy itself. And then there's always the "not finding the toy in the store" deal...

Blimp popped on a portable heater. patched the burn with duct tape, never stayed inflated :( Still have the glider and the bombs though.

ONce, there was an awesome snow/ice combo, making the grass hill on the side of our house super slick. Id stick a figure in the ice and run them over with the sled as i flew down the hill into the woods. Needless to say, Ray Fillet (Man Ray) didn;t survice. Sure, his color-change worked in the ice, but his legs remained in the ice as his body went under the sled lol.

Well, I lost my Shredder figure when I was a kid in my toxic waste dump of a room. I mean, it was the messy room to end all messy rooms. But for a while, I thought I knew the general area in which it was lost (a hard to get to place) and that I'd find it when I did my annual room cleaning. So it was cleaned, but no Shredder figure was to be found anywhere--no idea what ever happened to it. :shredder: :?: Another time, I was playing with my favorite figure--original Raphael--and I got this wax that a certain brand of cheese I've always liked comes packaged in, that I used to play around with like clay, in Raph's teeth/eyes. So while the red wax fit his color scheme, making Raph look like he had a chronic case of pink-eye was definitely not cool. :tsick:

Hey, check out this expieriance...my friend told me this one. When he was little he had a sewer surfn' michaelangelo . He would play with him all the time. took him in the bathtub and every thing. Then one day he hit it with a baseball bad and his body parts poped out of their sockets and went every which away, He said he cried after that.

I used to dig small, but deep holes and fill them with water. Needless to say Shredder and Mondo Gecko are probably 2 feet underground. And for some reason my Ace Duck figure fell apart and I had to glue it back together.

Man I used to get a new turtle every time i went to the story cuz i loved my turtles but apparently my dog did too because i would lose a turtle every week when she felt like snacking. My dad thought it was funny so he would play fetch with them and my dog. I used to cry myself to sleep cuz of that.

My brother bought me that figure when I was a kid--don't remember exactly what happened to it. But one time a while back, while walking on a street in my neighborhood, I noticed a few pieces of that exact figure (not mine, obviously, but the same kind) lying about in the road, lol! I debated whether or not to gather up the pieces, but I think it was incomplete, so I didn't bother.

I'll have to agree...what the **** was he thinking tmnt571?! :ohwell: What he did was too cruel, he should pick of someone his own size and then see what happens.
Other than my dog destroying bebop and not finding figures in my country i dont have many bad experiences.

I think that my mom either stored, donated, or sold all of my old figures. She will not tell me where they are. *shrugs* oh well.

I guess I was lucky that my mom never tossed anything out (though my dad sure wanted her to) and that my TMNT toys are in the basement. But a few years ago I went down to find that my Raphael was cavered in patches of what looked to be tar. I'm assuming it must be some sort of candy or gum or something, but I'm still confused as to how it ended up that way from sitting untouched in a bin all those years.

I used to fling my tmnt toys WAY up in the air. But then one day it hit a big tree branch and busted apart, kinda like fireworks. I was using the nuetrenos(sorry about the spelling)because I didnt really like them, but now I wished I hadnt.

Sometime I played with them in the yard by our bushes and with the turtles being green, I sometimes lost them because I hid them in the bushes. I lost a few turtles doing that and just recently I found them in some dirt, and in horrible condition. They were good ones too.

   nice going ben_wallace3

I had a couple of turtles chewed up by my friend's dog when I was a kid.

But recently I got Usagi Yojimbo at a garage sale for $.25 so I guess that about breaks even.
