Well.....I think they do something so similar to sleep or at least meditate/trance state.... Just an opinion...:twink:

That's a good question. They have lived for at least 1100 years, maybe they sleep for years or are awake for years? I don't remember them sleeping in the show.

When Ch'rell got free from the ice asteroid in Turtles Forever, he appeared to be unconscious or asleep, something like that, he woke up a few minutes later. Maybe ice make utroms sleep?

I've never seen John Bishop sleep on the show either :twink:

They probably do some form of relaxation, just like on Star Trek the variety of sleep cycles that different species need and the ways that which they rest can be rather varied and different from what we think of the classic form of rest.

Like the Founders/ Shapshifters on DS9. They don't sleep at all but they do need to return to a gelatinous state for a certain period each day which is similar to the way humans sleep.

I don't think he was asleep, he was frozen (like Walt Disney).

Back to the point, I agree it would make sense if they meditated. Maybe they could attach themselves to a "sleeping machine"

They are probably just like Drow and Eladrins, they meditate for four hours fully aware of their surroundings to get the equivalent of a full night sleep

I understand that you specifically asked about the 4kids version. To that, I do not know. I cannot remember them ever addressing it either way. However, Dan Berger emailed me that the mirage utroms do, in fact sleep. This probably doesn't help you lol
