What a cool little dude to come across!

[Katie]

Luz's friend is a dudette. ;) not a box turtle like you're thinking of Jester since Luz is in Spain. But it is some sort of tortoise.

Papa smurf has a snapping turtle in that picture.

Luz, how is the tortoise doin?

mmmm we had discuss this a time...This little guest is protected because is an endangered specie...for example in a part of this country its absolutely forbidden pet this species...(Not my region)... Anyway at my home there is not enough water for this little one...and its not a good company for our fish Kois, and my dogs are stressing the turtle.......

Thanks Katie for the info.... she had been named Charlie... :toops: !

Luz, how is the tortoise doin?

She must be happy at her/his new safe natural enviroment/home...

...Sadly we cannot keep as pet an endangered specie...Even the Veterinarian can report us for keeping it... Its protected for a bunch of laws in Europe because the common Red Eared species are taking their natural habitats!!!
About 70% of the extant species have been reported to be in endangered or vulnerable condition.
