So, I'm sitting here, rewatching Tempus Fugit and of course it features one of the biggest teases since some other war involving Shredder and time travel from a certain comic series: The "Shredder War." As you know by one of my other recent threads you know I'm not above totally baseless and out of left field speculation. So what do you think led to the Shredder War. Could some time window mishap, similar to the one that sends the Turtles, Serling, and Cody to various points in the Turtles history (I can't remember the >> episode, but it had the Turtles flash back to their first confrontation with the Shredder.) The only reason I can think for all 3 Shredders to be in one place is they were pulled from the past at some point in the guys future...who knows.

What do you guys think?

That episode was Timing is Everything, and how they are pulled out of the past and meet up, well the only explanation I can think of is the time portal Serling built in Incredible Shrinking Serling.

I forgot about Serling's "sub-plot" about trying to get home...that very well could be the catalyst. I really wish they'd have been able to tie up that loose end.

My theory is that Ch'Rell was teleported instead of desroyed. I guess Cyber-Shredder could have been backed up somewhere and recreated himself. I have no idea for Tengu Shredder.

I actually started writing an epic about what happened after Turtles Forever. Then I sort of lost interest. Bishop put NYC on lockdown, the Turtles had been gone weeks, and it was time to crack down on Bishop. Then Kahn breaks out of prison, the Shredders are reborn, and things go bad.

My theory states that the Tengu Shredder got saved by a malfunction in Serling's time portal which brought him to that future before his helmet and gauntlet got destroyed, but everyone (the turtles, acolytes, Tribunal, Splinter, etc.) assumed he was finished, allowing all the Fast Forward events to occur without disruption; that's the part of my theory where Serling's portal came into play. As for Ch'rell and Cyber Shredder, I believe nothing went any differently for them in the course of the show, with the exception of Cyber Shredder and Khan finishing off the turtles before they could kill him, and Ch'rell never meeting his doom either and getting his attention drawn to Tengu Shredder and Cyber Shredder before he could get around to putting Turtle Prime on his agenda. All this takes place after Turtles Forever, at least after the point of Ch'rell's return anyway, as for the classic toon turtles, it's plausible they never escaped Hun and the Purple Dragons quarters and got finished off, so preventing them from interfering in any Shredders' agendas either.

The turtles knowledge of the Shredder War future simply enabled them to plan ahead and be prepared, making them able to finish off Ch'rell and Cyber Shredder and see that no malfunction occured with Serling's portal so it never gets tuned into Tengu Shredder's final battle and gives him a chance to escape his fate, and the portal probably ended up destroyed when the lair got blasted in Turtles Forever, eliminating every Shredder and every possibility of that future occuring, and that's my conclusion as to how it ties up.

Everything probably went to sh*t when they tried to send Serling back to 2105.

Then again, it's possible that the Demon Shredder was using Karai's body as a host. She did "channel his dark energy" or something like that in the last to episodes of season 5.

And in "The Journal" Karai was going to purge the Shredder from her body. But then again, that episode was just a bunch of made-up stuff by Splinter.

I think if it happened, it didn't happen naturally. It had to have been something going wrong with all the time travel.

Something just dawned on me: Serling doesn't appear in Turtles Forever...which means (to me anyway) that he was returned to 2105 before the Fred Wolf Turtles, Shredder and the rest came to the 4kids universe and the events of the movie happen.

If Serling was returned at all. Maybe he just was crushed like Klunk (presumably) was.

Man, I hate it when little things like that are screwed up. At least Klunk appeared in BttS. Once.

If they're going to have the turtles keep a cat, then they should have them care for it a little.

Wow, I never thought about Klunk in that scene from Turtles Forever. Poor little guy...

Maybe he was off hunting mice in the sewers at the time? Maybe...

I sort of don't think he would hunt mice. Since he lives with a giant rat.

He was probably at April's; probably the same way he survived a year without Michaelangelo and the others around when in 2105. I don't assume deaths I don't see or aren't given complete implication.

Klunk was the Turtles' wedding gift to the Jones'...yeah, that's the ticket!

Blah... kinda glad Serling wasn't in Turtles Forever.... too bad about Klunk though, I guess. I kinda wish the last episode wasn't so rushed so they could have shown Karai's reaction to Cyber Shredder, especially since she was apparently there when she and Chrell made that back-up. Like "You are not my father, you are an impostor!!!" Likewise, he didn't react to Karai either.
