How should Slash return?

Given the popularity of the character, and Playmates re-releasing the Slash figure at the end of the toyline during the 25th anniversary, and Playmates involvement with the new show, it is safe to say they will probably use the character.

How should they use Slash? First he should definitely have the design he had in the Archie series, toy, and Turtles in Time videogame, rather than his Fred Wolf design.

Secondly, should he just be a Turtle from Dimension X like in Archie, or should we see him mutated like we did in the original series?

I honestly would introduce him late in Season 1 or Season 2 instead of waiting a little later on since he's more anticipated. But since there may not be Dimension X in this show, I'd make Slash a creation of the Shredder or some mad scientist, so I'm leaning toward the mutant method.

He should be a clone of Raphael created by Stockman to hunt down and kill the turtles.

IF he shows up in the new series, he should be more like he was in the Archie comics series, NOT the total dimwit that he was in the OT.

How did slash come about in the Archie comic books?

Just kinda showed up...he was on the planet Krang was exiled to after the Battle for the Turnstone (Wait...Krang was sent into exile...so was Ch'rell...Ch'rell was Krang. I don't care what Laird says.) Krang drafted him essentially.

I would definately like to see Slash be more formidable and not a complete bonehead like he was in the OT.

I'd like Slash to come out of nowhere making the turtles think he was a lost brother. Slash would first look like them, but wearing a black bandana. Splinter and the turtles would accept him to be part of the family, and he would become the "fifth" ninja turtle. Then Don will discover zit like pimples all over Slash one day and start to question him. Slash uses a remedy to temporarally heal himself from these pimples until he runs out of it. Next thing Leo notices, Slash appears to be getting this rash. With this too much itching, spikes spring out from his shell and his skin starts to molt or something. The turtles find out he's not a regular mutant turtle, and it turns out that Slash is from Dimension X disguising as one of them, but is really a hideous monster working for the Krangs. There may be more to this, but this is all I got for now.:tsmile:

I think it would be awesome if Slash would be in the series, but not as idiot in the OT. Maybe he could be a mutation from the Kraang as a response to the turtles dilima..?????

If they were to use Slash I think it would be cool if maybe he is actually a lost brother. That Shredder takes him or somehow he gets separated from the rest and ends up with the Foot. It would make for some very potent story possibilities.

I saw that before I posted. I liked it but I thought it would be better if he was actually a lost brother. He has already been an alien and evil mutant made by other mutants. I'd like to see something different. But we should sit down and maybe hash something out, like a pre fan fic lol

The brother Idea is a little bland to me..... and in his first appearence in the OT slash was a baby turtle mutated into a mutant turtle, so he had the IQ of a toddler

I was thinking more along the lines of Slash being created by the Shredder from the TMNT's DNA. Maybe the turtles have defeated Shredder a couple of times already and Shredder then has the idea to make a clone. So then he manages to get a DNA sample from each turtle and makes the ultimate Ninja Turtle so that way Slash has all of the TMNT's strengths and weaknesses. The turtles will then learn what each of their weaknesses are and use it against Slash. This way the TMNT actually get a learning experience out of this battle.

What about Shredder kidnapping one of the turtles (it would probably be Raph) and clones him, makes Slash, who's much more powerful, but something goes wrong in the process making him unstable.

Think in John Byrne's Man of Steel when Lex Luthor creates Bizarro.

Well, I didn't watch Fast Forward...

Question though, why does the villain in Flash Forward make clones of the turtles?

There was also a pretty good episode where he was "captured" by the Turtles who tried to reform their evil "brother".

I don't think the reform thing is such a good idea for slash except for maybe the first fight. The turtles try it, know it'll never work, and just continue to fight him.

I am liking the idea of maybe a Krang disguised as a turtle though.

I Like this idea, but I thiknk slash should not have any of the turtles weaknesses but all there strengths, thats what would make him so formidable and to top it off he could be Shredder's apprentience. I think this could be an interesting story line...

I really like Slash's character in the Archie comics, I think he became rather riddiculed in the tv show. Slash is a character who fights for what he believes is right, but he hasn't got the sharpest mind so it's easy to manipulate him. They should use that in the new show, let Shredder convince him that he fights for the greater good by joining him but it all ends up with him realising that the turtles are the good guys. That way he can appear as an ally in more episodes.
