What is Nick like today? I haven't watched it in years, but I do remember when John K., the creator of Ren & Stimpy, was forced out. After that, the series was not that good.

Something tells me this series will be less action-oriented and more funny.

And if that's the case, it'd better be really funny!

If u look on the Official Nick thread the people who were invited saw some pretty cool stuff, and from what they were told everyone would be "surprised" at how serious the storyline was going to be.

Yeah but xmen and dragonball z kai are only on teen nick and avatar doesnt even appear on nick any more it seems like....

Currently, I feel Nickelodeon's programming/management to be hit-and-miss. I find that 10 Spongebob episodes daily is too much, and that Nick at Nite is suffering from a similar "marathon fatigue" problem with just a few shows, though they have added more shows lately from the "millenial era" of around 10 years ago. At least it appears that Nick is planning to increase production for the next couple years which means more variety and I feel that Nickelodeon may be starting to improve a bit from the blahs of the past decade. Family Brainsurge is it's first real gameshow in many years, there is already a Ninja-themed show called "Super Ninja", and also that some of the younger staff of Nick grew up during its golden age, and that will draw inspiration and create a new generation of "Nick-friendly" program. I'd even say that Nick is probably at it's best in terms of programming in about a decade, and such improvement would boost ratings, and that can be great news for TMNT: G3 success.

I agree. I just think the Supah Ninjas are going to be kaput once the TMNT kicks their butt on the ratings.:tlol:

Nick has surprised me in the recent past by airing a lot of older audience (sexually suggestive, adult situations) shows on Nick at Nite (Friends, That 70s Show). It's a promising sign, regardless of whether or not TMNT will be on at night.

Nick today isn't so bad. A lot of people that have their nostalgiagoggles on too tight seem to think it's total crap, but it's really kinda alright.
Some shows aren't so hot, but it's not like everything they aired in the 90's was made of gold either. I'm sure the turtles will be dope.

Well, Avatar was pretty serious and that's coming back in 2012 with new episodes(!!!!), just like TMNT. So they can do serious stuff if they want, I only hope the writers want that. I too hope there will absolutely no slapstick humor or pathetic characters in terms of sillyness. A character can be silly, but not OT-silly please.

Yeah agree with u I cant stand how much Slapstick the OT had at times..... I dont mind slapstick from time to time..... But I cannot wait for the new avatar series!!!!!!Its gonna be awesome, I dont know how its gonna live up to the first series

Guys nick airs degrassi that shows pretty adult. It's got killings and all kind of crap going on. In one episode some teen stabs and kills another teen. So I'm pretty sure nick will be ok with a little violence and that it won't be to kiddy.

That's TEEN nick, for TEENS. This is a kids show, I doubt they're looking to push the envelope.

It airs on regular nick in the mornings here. Nick is the only channel I get no teen nick or nick toon.

I agree with you. I don't watch Nick much, but anytime I happen to flip to that channel Spongebob is on. They depend way to much him to keep their channel kicking. I really hope the staff they have working on the show are passionate and fully enjoying what they are doing because that's usually when a good show is produced. :tsmile:

I'm not. Ciro Nielli is a big fan of the Mirage comics and the other two fellas (who worked on That 70's Show) were into the Fred Wolf cartoon back in the day. Plus they hired Andrea Romano to be the voice director. I think it's gonna rock.

Also,if I'm not mistaken Ciro Nielli also was the producer for The Avengers series and was good.So,I do think the new TMNT series is in the right hands.I just hope more episodes of the Avengers are coming.

Kung Fu Panda is really fun and I can kind of see them going that route with TMNT. I mean simular kind of situations if they are going a little more OT. Just no crossovers....please.

I thought about that but Panda Kahn is not part of the TMNT but a character that was borrowed. So not sure how that would work. I can see a cross over with KFP simply because they don't have the rights to Usagi or Kahn but could want to do some stories like that.
