IDW TMNT issue #1 Variants?

So I went to my local comic shop about 2 weeks ago and the guy had the IDW TMNT #1 issue with Raph (seen Below) behind the counter with a "VARIANT $25" price tag on it. Now I know that they made about 10 variants for issue #1. Today, I went in and the issue was gone, but on the shelf with the regular comics, was the SAME issue at regular price? Is there a 2 variants with Raph in the same pose that look almost identical or what?

For a second I thought maybe it was the Gatefold, but Leo's cover was the frontface for that variant. Unless this shop had the Barnes&Noble edition for sale as a variant?

After doing some more research and talking with a few other people, the two variations must be the "news stand" edition which was in B&N and then the CVR A edition. I dont know which one the guy from the comic shop had, but this must be the 2. The news stand one doesn't say CVR A under the IDW logo in the top left corner. Just in case anyone else was wondering.
