How can I take a screenshot, of the TMNT Episodes that I downloaded? I tried "Print screen on the keyboard, But it just comes up blank. I did try a program the same thing. Please help!:|
Hold down Alt, then hit print screen on the keyboard. Go into a paint program, and hit CTRL+V and you'll paste your screen grab there

all i get when i do that is a black movie screen of the windows media player
Whoa Freaky!
Evil RealPlayer won't let you do it, but Windows Media Player should let you do it. try pasting into MSPaint if you're having problems with Realplayer, or go online to http://www.shareware.com and d/l a screen grabber that says it's compatible with Realplayer.

Download Hypersnap-DX from Download.com, if you havr any troubles with it post here as I've taken shots of the CGI trailer before with no problemos.
but the cgi trailer is a QuickTime Movie, and the *.rm versions of the cartoon are played in RealPlayer, and that's what's harrassing the screen grabs *smacks realplayer makers* YOu think that Hypersnap thing might work? Well, anyone who tries it with that proggie and gets it to grab a image off an *.rm file, post here. Successfull or not... ?

wow.. such a wealth of useful info!
Which makes me wonder.. anyonwe know of more ways to get screenshots if the DVD movie? The only way I accomplished this was using a special DVD player on my PC called Power DVD. I used their free 30 day trial program to get the screenshots I do have, but 30 days sure do go by quick!
If anyone knows of other ways to get DVD screenshots too, I'm all ears!
Not sure how to get Screenchots from a DVD, cuz my 'puter doesn't have a DVD drive, however, if you buy the CD-ROM movie off ebay (it's pretty cheap actually!) you can screeen grab from that...

I looked on the real web site and found out this...
Turn the optimized video option off:
RealPlayer G2:
1. In RealPlayer, click the Options menu and choose Preferences.
2. Click the Performance tab.
3. Click to clear the Use optimized video display check box.
4. Click the OK button.
5. Exit and then restart RealPlayer
RealPlayer 7, 8:
1. In RealPlayer, click the View menu and choose Preferences.
2. Click the Performance tab.
3. Click to clear the Use Optimized Video check box.
4. Click OK.
5. Exit and then restart RealPlayer.
RealOne Player:
1. In RealOne Player, click the Tools menu and choose Preferences.
2. In the Category panel, click Hardware.
3. On the Hardware panel, click to clear the Use Optimized Video box.
4. Click OK.
5. Exit and then restart RealOne Player.
Take the screen shot:
1. Click the RealPlayer window once to make sure it is the active window on your screen.
2. Press the ALT key and hold it down and then press the Print Screen (PrtScn) key. Release both keys.
3. Open the program you want to paste the screen shot into.
4. Right-click inside the document and choose Paste from the menu that appears. This pastes the screen shot into the document.
Hope this helps

Hackers are not necessarily people who crack computer programs. They are also people who like computers, know them well and know where to get useful stuff.

I had that same problem myself, I kept having to ask my buddy Brinatello for help, since she WAS able to capture images from RealPlayer and Windows Media, and I wasn't. I kept getting the black screen too. Tho one day at school, in WM, I WAS able to capture the image using Print Screen and going into MSPaint....*shrugs* Tho I will try your guys method also. The only other thing could be that some of you have video capture cards on your machine, and I don't. I don't know if you need to have a capture card tho to capture images, it seems from the methods you guys are talking about, that you don't.
