I've been working on this for about 3 weeks now and just finished it up! I took an old bland comic/magazine holder and cut out cardboard and drew on it and then hotglued it to the original holder. Now its a TMNT Comic holder! One side is Mirage, one is 1988/Archie, the back is 2k3 and the front has an ooze can and a logo designed after the various series logos including the new Nick logo. Ive attached pics of it from original scratch to finished :) hope you all like it.

Very cool. If my longboxes weren't kept basically out of sight I'd certainly decorate them too. Nice work.

Pretty sweet!
I started a long box years ago for my Spawn comics using markers, but pretty much gave up on that.
I have a short box that I airbrushed for my Udon collectin featuring Morrigan and Ryu.

That's badass!!! I don't suppose you made copies of the pencils? You could probably make and sell some of those things!

Seems like I saw this the other day on a blog or something. It's' really personal and cool. Seems like it might be a little too small to hold a large collection though. Are you only putting your favorite issues on display?

He could always more!! I figured it'd probably hold 25-40 comics that are bagged and boarded, based on the cardboard holders like that I've seen.
You've inspired me to try this out myself! I think I'm gonna try to make 3 or 4 different era ones, a classic Mirage inspired holder, an Archie/OT inspired holder, an Image inspired holder, and an IDW holder.
Can't say again how badass this looks! A very awesome and original concept, great work!! Hope mine turn-out half as good as your awesome one!!! Hope you make more!!

Just for future reference, right next to the quote tab is one that reads "multi". Click that on every post you want to quote and then quote the last of them so that they'll all be on one quick reply.
