Great expressions on Leo and Raph, look like they're ready to tear into something (presumably the mouser robots).

He's been getting better about it over the last issues but I wish Dan would really get away from making the plastrons look so flexible... on Raph there the bottom looks like it's bending with his leg like foam rubber or something.

I just read #5 again Mr. Waltz and I admit it takes a little while for this IDW unique concept of reincarnation to sink in. The more time that passes and reading it a second time I have to admit in a strange way it makes sense. It is also a way for both takes on Splinter the fact he was a mutant rat while not Hamato Yoshi's pet and Hamato Yoshi himself. Its a true blend yet original. Seeing this done with Splinter only makes me wonder how a blended yet unique take on Shredder will be and even others. You have me full attention,sir!:D

thanks for these previews man!..and what did I write back a long time?release the stories in black and white as a bonus in the tpbs....or maybe even in the kevin eastman balck and white cover variants...that would make sense, too...

I like leo here more than raph, I love the expression in his face and the dynamic in the depicted motion...great job, dan!

Dan's art style is really starting to grow on me, its so full of energy and excitement. Defiantly loving his rendition of the turtles! I can't wait to see what he does with the Shredder and some of the other guys.

I really like seeing Duncan's improvement on the art. Awesome.

Only the plastron bending with Raph's leg looks a little weird, but the rest looks great.

I've pretty much come to accept the plastrons bending in the art, it reminds me of the costumes used in the movies, so it doesn't really bug or erk me.

Same here. Maybe I'm just not as perceptive as some of you when I'm flipping through the issues my first couple of times ( 90's adhd - diagnosed kid here8) ).

I'm a big dan of Duncan's art. Still would love to see some other artists take a jab at the series this year. Having a consistent writer, I dig. When it comes to artists, I don't mind seeing different interpretations.

Baxter would need a logical sounding means for a mini robot, and if Krang is underwriting rather than the government then making them sound like a militarized platform would provide such credibility.
