Tmnt forever

Ok so I was just thinking about tmnt forever and I had a few questions.

First one, why dint they use the nm turtles?

Second, what would it have been like if they did?

Last, do you think you would have enjoyed it as much, more or less?

TNM was all Kevin's doing. Laird wouldn't touch it if he wanted... which he probably couldn't possibly be paid enough to want.

Because Laird wasn't a fan of Venus and probably didn't want to ruin the show with that. Plus, he knew that a lot of fans didn't like NM. If they had been there, I would probably not like it unless it was just a small cameo. I wasn't a fan of NM.

Well exactly. It's easy to say something sucked and you hated it after it's already come out and the general consensus is that it's horrible.

I dont see why it would have been that much more work. Even if they just animated them for a minute or two.

I dont believe they even showed them when the shredder had the turtles chained up and all the turtle universes where been shown.

I know a lot of people dont like nm but it was a part of there history. Kind of felt like we got cheated by them not showing them.

Who's "we"? I'm glad those failiures werent shown. They shouldnt be considered a part of the canon.

Like I said I relies most don't like them, but there still a part of the history and lore that is tmnt. I mean when we write history books they don't leave out the parts that may not show humans in the best of ways. So why leave of a part of tmnt history?

I just wanted to see if there was a real reason why they left the nm out.
And if any one had thoughts on what it would of being like with them.

I think that the official reason is Peter Laird doesn't like that series...at all. I mean, wants it buried for all eternity.

Was TNM popular at all? I remember it being gone rather quickly. The toys were cool, but thats as far as my opinion of that series goes. I think Los Luchadores had a longer season than TNM.

It was a standard 26 episode season, but yeah 2 eps were clip shows, one being the series finale no less.

The show was basically canceled for a number of reasons. Probably due to the costly production and the fact that the TMNT fandom was all but dead by 1997.

Either way if it continued, Pokemon would have absolutely destroyed it by 1998.

Yea it was the number one show in it's time slot and number one kids show. I heard like you said cyber it was expensive to produce and since fox dint own the rights to it they where not making the money the wanted to so they canned it.

Maybe. I just watched a little bit of it on youtube. It's just a strange series. And it's strange with almost no balance. It looks like the movies, but the scripts are as ridiculous as the 87 series. I mean, there's a villain who's a mutant gorilla that resembles a gangster from the 1940's.

Why not? They're as legal an iteration as any other. Just thinking "it was stupid" isn't really a reason not to give them a throwback in that scene.

I don't know why people get all worked up about them not having a picture in the "multiverse scene". There was a handful of other TMNT depictions that didn't make it either.

Granted, the other missing ones were a bit more obscure than The Next Mutation, but still. You can either pretend they were there, just not on camera, or just lump them in with the Movie-verse.

Allow me to use your own logic against you:

Batman has more than one interpretation, and one isnt any less "real" than the other. They all have merit and contribute greatly to the overall success of the brand.


So following that logic the same applies to "the next mutation" and it deserved a spot in the multiverse scene.
